as a cooker, i find nearly every food to be useless (i don’t need to exp faster, and for now it seem i only do this for dye…), i know that if i can make some food that make me run faster, i would do it since i’m a warrior (the kind of cow-men race) and i run slow -_-, so i woud like to make food that give me speed buff, but i don’t know any, can anyone help me?

I don’t have the game up now, but I believe there is a line of foodstuffs that grant a speed burst after a kill. That’s the only one coming to mind offhand.

If someone else doesn’t have a fuller answer for you checking the foods on wiki or TP may shed more light.

Bowl of Seaweed Salad gives a 60% chance to gain Swiftness after a kill and 10% damage while moving, but its a level 80 food. It only scales down from there, there is no direct “movement speed” food which as a Warrior I highly doubt you’d need.

i have a sword, i don’t see a skill that rise my movement speed. Signet of rage, interesting, where can i get that? balanced stance… i don’t know what you are talking about (i’m new), warrior sprint either.

sword has savage leap and that is increased by swiftness to and any time its used its faster then running by a little.
balance stance grats 8 secs of switfness by default and that is increased by boon duration.
signet of rage is a elite skill and is possible to get from level 30 and up.

Spec 10 points into Discipline for Warrior’s Sprint.

Warriors are actually the fastest class.

I was expecting another post from a mesmer but no warrior is far from slowest in the game. :P

You can get 100% uptime on Swiftness on a warrior fairly easily with a warhorn and the Signet of Rage.

ugh, i really feel my human guardian run 2x faster than my charr warrior. Does the size have something to do with? my charr is 2X bigger than my human too… isn’t it supposed to be the contrary? bigger thing do more meter per movement than small one? once again, i feel guild wars 2 to be in contradiction with the base rule… after the fact that guardian are better dps and warrior better tank.

They run at the same speed, your charr just has a camera that sits higher up.

Because off the animation, and the fact that everyone runs at the same speed (with out any boons or buffs) larger characters always look like they are running slower, the bigger they are the worse it looks.

they shouldn’t have changed the speed of the animations just because the character is bigger. Having a big character, i got a lot of disadvantage that i haven’t with my human (like the jump puzzle are almost impossible with my charr due to size), the least would be to let the bigger character running faster to add at least an advantage vs the big disadvantage i have as being big.

Running speed would be game breaking. Jumping puzzle camera can be fixed with any tonic/transformation.

All races move at the same base speed. So asuras legs move like crazy while the norn or charr next to them jogs slowly.

Warhorn-4 and Signet of Rage will give you permanent swiftness. Greatsword-3 and -4 move you forwards more quickly. Sword-2 will make you leap forwards. (Remember to disable auto-targeting first!) If you use a banner (there are multiple utility banners, and an elite), its number 4 skill will make you rush forward.

Warrior’s Sprint, the number III skill in the Discipline line can be really effective. The Balanced Stance utility skill is good in combat for giving you stability, but does also grant swiftness.

In short, Warriors have lots of ways to go faster.

There is one food that will give you a 30 minute speed buff, but it isn’t obvious in its description, or on the wiki…

I suppose I’ll let you guys in on the secret though, enough people already know to bring the price up to 25s each…

Orc scientists already proven this. Paiting things red makes them go faster. Pure Orcish science.
