did you bought tha staff or crafted?
What is the point in this? You got a precursor, grats, but what is so funny?
people often complain about how they spend so much time and money trying to save for one, I bought around 70g worth of rares and got one. This is the third time its happened. I never spend more than 100g at a time and it seems to work fine for me

RNG is RNG. The fact that you can consistently do it with ~70g and others can’t IS the problem.

Consider, he might not be entirely truthful.
The chances of getting a Precursor in the first 100g have to be fairly slim otherwise Precursors would have dropped in price by now. Therefore, the chance of getting a Precursor withing the first 100g thrice (assuming he hasn’t wasted 1000’s of gold in between) are extremely slim. Either he is very, very lucky or a bit of an exaggerator.
As has been said RNG is RNG. I probably wasted way over 500g in rares and barely got any Exotics not to mention Precursors.
Some ppl drop few rares and forge them and get Precursor in few tries however.

Streak Breaker Code would solve this problem… Just start mentioning it in any thread that Smith posts to… or any thread that Colin or Lindsey miiight read.
And if they won’t do that… they could atleast bring back the “Unlucky” Title and give ppl something even more unique for maxing it

That basically means a guaranteed success at MFing a Precursor after X failed attempts. How is this a good idea?
The OP might be a symptom of the real problem. While RNG is RNG, some people in this game appear to be lucky, very lucky in some cases, while others appear to be unlucky, and very unlucky in some cases.
It really almost appears that some accounts get the loot they are supposed to consistantly, while others are not getting it. I’m still not convinced there is not a deep down, hidden bug that is preventing some from getting good loot.
More than likely, the OP either got really lucky or is selectively remembering the amount of time/resources he has dropped into the MF. This is a common problem with gamblers who frequently count the wins accurately but disregard their overall position by not tracking their losses.

How the hell is it a bad idea? We’re getting “Guaranteed Precursors after X amount of Item Grinding” anyway once the Scavenger hunt is finally finished
(plus all new new Legendaries to chase after).
