0 fractal love :(
This makes me seriously consider trashing gw2 and never look back. There is nothing more in it for me than fractals, and even that they ruined quite hard now.

Except that the gear required to progress in fractals is increasingly coming from non-fractal sources. As it stands, there’s only one piece of gear that must be gotten from fractals (backpiece). Fully half of the ascended items aren’t from fractals at all, but are just a daily grind. I like the concept of laurels, but fractal gear should be gotten through fractals. . .

Actually, you can get backpack outside of fractals…
This ascended there. That ascended there. That ascended? Oh you got to do this… This game doesn’t even know what it is any more. There is just the developers pulling your chain to make you do whatever content they want more people to do.
The Points from the OP just play into my general understanding how they want fractals to be played their own way instead of leaving it to the players.
First of all they hard capped fractals at lvl 50 in the last Patch. Why would you introduce a lvl 80 dungeon just to cap it at 50, or until anet decides that the player may now have the required agony resistance to survive it. I could play every single fractal (except yade maw, which is only challenging because of the agony you can’t circumvent) without a piece of resistance, cause in a good group, people can dodge agony. So hard caping just limits all the fun of it and you are limited to playing the fractals except yade maw, though daily rewards.
2. Lets assume now we have infinite agony resistance and can do every daily. Now with this patch they nerved all the stealth consumables very hard, which enabled us to play those higher lvl fractals from 50-80 at a tolerable level. Earlier you could just pull out a little spy kit in case you aggoed to many veterans and retry, now you will probably allways die or try to run away until something totaly undeterministic happens and you can get out of combat for the other people to respawn.
The fractals which are doable right now are:
Swamp, Water, Ascalon.
The others will have quite a flaw and waiting for these three in a row is just a pain.
In general you won’t be able to rezz someone in stealth while the others fight the boss still. This makes every fault almost deadly to the whole group and you will probably end up wiping retrying again.
Dredge: Even though this is very long and a pain in the kitten The first part will be very very very hard without spy kits. On lower lvls it might be easy to kill the dredges but on higher lvls even a single or two veterans can wipe a group.
Ice: Doing the first part without spy kits is just a pain. You can’t kill them all, as they respawn. I know nothing is reset, but it will be very painfull now.
Cliffside: Will also stay almost the same, but spykit-rezzing wont be able, thus the last part has to be done without a single flaw
Assura: Earlier you could at least walk through the harpies with spy kits, now you will have to kill em all. This gives this fractal the same horror-lenght, that dredge already has, but without the good loot.
Shaman: This probably stays the same pain as it was allready. The first part also heavily relies on consumables and as we know anet they will nerv them even more until this is also not possible anymore. The shaman itself is also only doable with a perfect group with enough reflect, requiring very specific classes.
What this means is, that progress will probably still be possible, but such a pain in the a** that I don’t think that you will even find people motivated for it. As fractals was allmost the only interesting part for me to this end, it directly kills the whole fun of gw2.
Ice and Dredge will now require a thief for the first part of each (either as main in the group, or an alt which can be brought especially for this part).

I don’t think Ascended gear should not be buyable using Laurels or Guild Mission credits. Guild Wars philosophy is for inclusion and it is not fair to say Ascended gear, which you can now augment with infusions that do not give agony resistance, is only for those doing Fractals. Fractals, afterall, is not for everyone.
But I DO think that both the earring and the amulets should be added for purchase with pristine relics and available as RNG drops from daily chests. I am happy to pay, say, 30 relics for an amulet and 20 relics each for the earrings. But my Fractal progression should not be contingent on dailies or guild mission. Please make this change ASAP Anet! It is the only fair thing to do!

I dont even consider it a grind. Just long and boring. Doing my daily isnt a grind to me (Debateable) But even so, doing it for 40 days is just yawnface.
