That’s insulting to 12 year olds. He was probably just American.
I’m a 12 year old american and i am doubly offended by this.

I’m pretty sure it’s the 12 year old mindset it’s everywhere, this kind of behavior doesn’t know borders.
Even here in America, Western Europe’s greatest achievement, we have have obnoxious twerps of all ages. (couldn’t resist, that Freedom can’t be held in)
But the real issue is not a person or a place, it’s a thing, the developers need to come up with a work around for when the instance owner leaves the group.

Mmmm yeah.. was in COE today.. path 2 with pugs. We wiped at the door, I was strolling into the instance as it happened. One player goes, “Kitten this, you all don’t know how to stack” and leaves. Fortunately, he didn’t own the instance. The rest of us laughed and went our merry way. Rage much?
But yeah sorry that happened to you. The worst is fractals after spending over an hour and the instance owner rage quits. I had that happen too.
This thread made me remember how a 9 years old girl leaded some dungeons harder than any dungeon in gw2 (including fractals).
Although this video doesn’t qualify to show the difficulty of the dungeon, it’ll be interesting for you to see that not all people is stupid just because of their age: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aOap2OYiq2k
enjoy :P

I pugged Arah p2, my lag was starting to kick in and by the time we got to Lupi I was getting rofl stomped by kicks and swipes left right and centre. Feeling bad as I had joined an “exp only melee Lupi speed $$$ run” I politely asked them to find another as I would literally need to be carried the rest of way in this state, then left party and went AFK for a bit. Upon returning I had a number of less than friendly whispers from one of the members reminding me that I was in fact the instance owner (never even occurred to me as I had only done story the day before on that character.) I apologised profusely and offered to send gold to the party members whom I had just griefed, only to find out the whole party disbanded >.<
It’s not always intentional, a long time ago I even swapped out to level an alt at the end of a dungeon as the instance owner… Thankfully it was only AC.
But I agree the instance owner setup is absurd, instances can be preserved even if everyone leaves, so the potential for a flawless system is there. There’s no need to tie it to one player, and for what? So they can appear in cutscenes that 99.99% of the player base skips in the first second?
