Just finished CoE and got only 1 token.
I just did all 3 PAths in TA… got 60 for first path 45 for second path.. and 30 for 3rd path… First time of the day running them… and First time of day HoTw first path only 45… like WTF?? common im so sick of being cheated out of my Tokens every day its been doing this and yet to stop this needs fixed ppl geting jipped badly
Ironically this is the kind of crap that pushes normal players to look for exploits and ways to cheat/break instances so that they don’t spend the normal amount of time in there just to get screwed over.
yeah my first CoF today was for 15 tokens..
and as I have said a lot of times I ve never received more than 30 tokens.

So when is this ‘patch’ coming? since me aswell is jsut not doing dungeons until its patched because otehrwise its just throwing away marks… its alrdy 4pm now and no post nothing
LOL, how are these developers coding up this game? I always and only get 30. Some people get 15, 12,16, 1, 20, 45, etc…

I have a few concerns about the upcoming fix today.
1. Will we be compensated in any way for the lost tokens we’ve been getting over the past few days? Many of us have lost out on hundreds of tokens. Is there any way you guys there at Anet can toss us some sort of reimbursement? Seems extremely unfair that the cheaters got away with tons of money and tokens and the honest people doing dungeons as intended have been getting jipped. Any word on this would be nice.
2. Is the system going to be explained in specifics in patch notes? Can you give us specifics here? Like, how fast is “too fast”? If you do dungeons as intended, 1 of each path in each dungeon, at what point will this system start to punish you?
Can we run, say TA, each path once back to back (taking about 90-120 minutes for all 3), then move to AC and run each path in 35-40 minutes, then head to CoE and run all 3 paths in about 45 minutes each and still end up with 180 tokens per dungeon? 540 tokens total?
I mean, can we get some sort of specifics on the limitations being put on us? How many unique paths can we run before we start getting reduced rewards? Is there going to be any such cap? Is it # of runs based? A timer (too fast)? A mix of both?
I have a static group of RL friends, and guild mates, that LOVE dungeons, so it’s not uncommon for us to run 6,9,12,15 paths in a day. But we also like to be rewarded for the treks.
So can you give us some sort of details on the system?

Im not even talking about “fast runs”, like doing magg in 20 minutes.
I’m talking about an honest run with a solid group. Sometimes it’s about 30-35 minutes. Some of them can take 45-50 minutes, sometimes upwards to a little over an hour. I’m just talking normal, correct runs as intended.
They’ve already said blatant “speed runs” of like 15 minutes are gunna punish you. But where is the line drawn? Some dungeons like HotW butch can be done in 30-35 minutes easy killing all the mobs and running with a pug group. Is that “too fast”? All i’m asking is where is the line drawn? So we know if the system is still “bugged” or if we’re intended to be punished, when it happens.
Giving specifics will allow the community to know if it’s working as intended, or bugged.
Robert already said they won’t give us details because exploiters will find a way around to abuse it. We will soon figure it out when the patch fix everything and people start doing legit runs anyway.
If we still get punished even if we do different paths of different dungeons each time. I’m done with dungeons.

Is there going to be some kind of compensation ? I literally get 45 each run (only do different paths in different dungeons). That’s 25% gone… and ye I get it, some people get 15 and 1 but still…
Going to take me way more time for my set…Also when is this patch coming ? early morning for EU ?
I really want to run dungeons but to know that I’ll only get 15 tokens at the end every time is so depressing. I’ve currently got 30 from the 120, and I can’t muster the courage to run dungeons more because I know I’ll have to them more than others just to get the same stuff.

That’s not very reassuring, you don’t sound convinced.

Its not only about exploits, its about making every aspect of gameplay viable for every type of player. They don’t want the players that are good at dungeons getting geared/twinked faster than the players that are good at, say, PvP. But because of how you obtain badges, it already takes a good period of time to gear yourself via PvP alone.
The bonus and first run rewards are meant to encourage the players that are not able to obtain a crack team of dungeon runners to escort them through. After all, going back to the PvP example, its easier to get a zerg together than it is to get 5 competent PUGers to run explorable mode.
That’s not very reassuring, you don’t sound convinced.

from patch every first in instance (im doing 1 max 2 runs a day bcs of work) run i didn’t received more than 45 tokens sometimes even less (friend im running with almost every-time first run a day in same time 60 tokens im not getting it what is wrong) I hope upcoming patch will fix it

1st path: 60 tokens
2nd path: 45 tokens
3rd path: 30 tokens.
No matter if takes 30 min or 1h 30 min per run.

The teacher looked over the childrens’ artwork. It was as good as anyone else’s, but she couldn’t accept that the children were able to accomplish the task she set for them in such a short amount of time, so she sent them to time out.

Just to add that I’ve also gotten the 15 token bug…
I just finished AC path 2, AC path 3 2 days back, COE about 4 days back and COF a week ago. All 15 tokens each. Sad really and I agree all we hope is to get compensated for the ones we didn’t get. Its a fair request.
I’ve also submitted in-game screenshots after completing the dungeon showing 15 tokens.

1st run Magg = 45 icons (aprox 25 mins) no exploits used
1st run Effigy = 30 icons (aprox 45 mins)
2nd run Magg = 5 icons (aprox 20 mins) a thief used an exploit, I couldn’t stop him
Since the DR patch I’ve never got 60 icons for a run, some friends of mine get 60 every run even to the same path more than once.
Any ETA on patch? I’m 20 icons away from my chest piece (would have had 4 days ago if it didn’t bug for me)

I like this, and to be honest the part about the students resenting the teacher is spot on. Simple psychology. I think most of us know what the result of resentment is right?
I’ve only once gotten 60 after a week of 45 (first run), and have been getting 45/35/15 ever since.
It’s not only the sadness of losing all those tokens after so many hours spent in dungeons, but the money is also diminished. The 15 token finish is giving 10 silver, not even to cover repair costs.
1st TA explore run. Got 10 tokens. I’m done.
Hurrah. Finally I can survive in dungeons with my new sweet build. Taking 3-4 hours with guildmates to get through 3 different dungeons, only to get 45 tokens for first run from Twilight Arbor, and 30 and 15 tokens from CoF two different paths.
This is bullcr*p.
EDIT: Also got less than half the silver from the Asuran story dungeon a few days back whereas my buddies got around 30-40 silver. And we took our sweet time with only 4 people.
We had 3 people run CoF, all the first time in days. First, since the event near the gate is bugged, you have to warp/blink to even try and get into the dungeon! Please fix that. Second, We all got different amounts when we were done. I was lucky and got 45, someone else got 30 and other person got 15!? So bugged and it sucks when you spend your free time to get something and then find out all that time was wasted. Please get some consistency for rewards.
