How far will 20 agony resistance (from 4 ascended items) get me in fotm? Will i be able to do at least level 20? I can’t farm vials and globs fast enough to get shards for infusion. And the backpiece costs too much to infuse. T_T

You should have no trouble doing up to level 28 with that much resistance. No trouble with agony that is, the other stuff however…

Until level 30 you go well with 0 AR. You’ll just die once at Jade Maw.

I did Level 48 the other night with 0 AR! The trick is to not get hit by the Agony attacks rather than trying to tank ’em!

Its imposible to make level 48 if all from your party are with 0 AR! At least one must have 35 AR or you will receive agony all the time on Jade Maw.
So with 20 AR you can go to lvl 49 if someone in your party have 35 AR. Of Course if you can and you are skilled enough

Technically no one needs to survive Maw thanks to the 99% strategy, but I agree at large. I switched back to my main which has 35 AR at Maw.

Thanks guys! As for the fine inscription that I’m planning to infuse on my ascended equips, will they disappear if I decide to infuse my items after I’ve combined them already? I really don’t plan on doing fotm that much, I’m just interested in putting the fine inscriptions on all of my ascended but I fear that if I don’t infuse them all, I’ll be in huge trouble if they implement ascended swords or armors in the future which would probably go past 40.. these precise infusions costs too much for +5agony resistance and +5perception. -_- Don’t even get me started on the backpiece. wtf 250 ectos for +5 agony resistance?

Technically atm Fractals have a gear check wich will not allow you to make 99% strategy or revive orb strategy or ranger pet strategy if at least one from your party dont have enough AR. If you dont belive me try to do 99% strategy or what you want with 35 AR on Fractal lvl 50 and you will see

That only applies to Fractals of level 50 or higher, not to Fractals 1-49. The OP asked how far he can go, and my point is that you can go as far as the current limit with 0 AR if you are a skilled enough player with a knowledgeable enough team. Hell, you can even go up to as high as level 79 if you only do odds.

I think at this point, a few people should have 40-45 AR from the new trinkets. I know I’ll be up to 40 in about a week.

You can get up to 29 with no problems.

If we’re talking how high can 20 AR save me from dying on Jade Maw, then 29 is the max, no problem going higher though but people might have to res you on Jade Maw.

Jade Maw agony will not kill you if you have 20 AR in fotm 29.
