You guys had a good thing going with the dungeon tokens. Why revert back to 1999 with the RNG for ascended? Who still does this? Friend of mine has 3 ascended rings already. He pretty much just expects a ring when we do the daily, and then complains it’s not the right stats. He’s tossing rings to alts who have never even stepped foot in FotM, yet I’m putting in just as much work with nothing to show for it. Kind of aggravating.

RNG exists in every MMO.Is it GW2 with FotM dungeons or WoW with LFR there is always some kind of RNG system existing.
I can only say one thing RNG is RNG am i lucky or not well this doesn’t really bother me.

I guess he’s talking about the lv10 ring, still a pure random luck strike more than an expected reward to go deeper with your friends. They got one, they keep going far, you have to repeat lv10 until you get yours. Now you have it, your friends are no more interested to bring you on their party, they are way higher

Doesn’t WoW have some token system so that, if the RNG hates you, you still make progress towards what you’re after on each attempt ?

While pure RNG is either you get what you’re after, or you don’t. You don’t get to make progress. You might get what you’re after first time, or you might take thousands of runs.
