Not to mention the fact that Anet has ruined orr, given us a crap load of Temp content just to remove it and now after all these months what do we get , 1 new world boss, for what? 1 rare a day? YAY!!! Sarcasm if you didn’t get that.

You are WRONG! The new world boss will give 2 RARES instead of 1! And they will even add a vendor that spawns ONLY if you do the new World Boss event, he will take Karka Shells as currency for unknown, but I’m sure they will be amazing, items! 200000 karka shells for one of them! Amazing, no?

OMG, I can’t believe this, 2 rares, Anet really does love us…

I could care less about the 2 rares, it’s more content that is wanted, more fractals would be nice.

All these months of giving us crap and taking it away just to give us 1 new world boss? I want content, new dungeons, a new area to explore, not them nerfing everything and taking everything away just to add in 1 new boss and think it’s all hunky dory.

Another stealth nerf (not sure if already mentioned)

Old Tom miniboss:

The changes to guardian sanctuary and shield of the avenger, as well as elementalist swirling winds (air focus 4) means that Old Tom’s projectiles can no longer be asborbed.

despite i agree its not good how they treat their customer expecially balance Wyse…did u try at least posting the screen in the topic about graphical and clipping issues.

They look at it for sure and they fix slowly all issues there.

They even fixed clipping on zhed mask and stuff like that….

@quick mouse: don t complain.
They started with ele long time ago….just to be sure the class is useless……(infact i rerolled mesmer).
The sad thing is how they don t want almost any projectiles to be absorbed or bounced…….
Again a proof of their short sight when it comes of balance.
Everything must be dps…nothing else…..

GW2 balance:
A PvE player is supposed to avoid a 1-2 second 1 shotting aoe.
A WWW player is considered uncapable of avoiding a 5,75 second aoe for half his health.

The changes to guardian sanctuary and shield of the avenger, as well as elementalist swirling winds (air focus 4) means that Old Tom’s projectiles can no longer be asborbed.

The blobs are not penetrating, either stick one player at the front of your melee who can heal through the encounter while the rest take no hits or cycle. There’s really no point in standing in a circle around him all getting hit at once.

How’s that a stealth nerf?

Elementalist

  • Swirling Winds skill: No longer destroys unblockable missiles.

Guardian

  • Sanctuary skill: No longer destroys unblockable missiles.
  • Shield of Absorption skill: No longer destroys unblockable missiles.

mostly because was changed weeks before the patchnotes.

But also becaus ethey put unblockable attribute on so many skills that i wonder why did they even bothering putting antiprojectile skills.

As if antiptojectile purpose wasn t to kill projectiles for a short period of time.

The same route as CC not working anywhere….

Another funny think is sometimes you get difficulty increased with more mobs.

For example you can get a dredge army on dredge fractal spawning point
You can get vampire bats in tunnel lwith rolling rocks in volcanic fractal, or you can even get a Group of vets behind dulfy’s door.

That seems completely random and results in a glicthed horrible experience.
(see veteraans npc nost spawning in ascalon for example if you die near door).

There are many players that questions seriously the balance guidelines of devs….but if you look at current PvE meta seems they should change them fast.

swirling wind was changed way before guardian and way before patchnotes described it.

Infact i posted it in elementalist section AND bug section…..long ago.

At that time avenger shield still worked on old tom

Patch notes about swirling winds are from april 30 while guardian’s skills from may 28. It’s hardly a stealth change when you know what happens before actual fight just by reading patch notes.

What exactly do you mean? That patch notes from april 30 says that SotA and Sanctuary shouldn’t also destroy unblockable projectiles but it wasn’t actually changed?

There are still ways to block Old Toms projectiles, you just need to look for them.

as i said:
1) swirling is not mentioned

2) the day the patch was released most guardian skills could still block old toms.
While every skill stopped to work on champion dredge.

3) for long time fractal runners people remember how they progressivley change projectiles to be:
- normal
- into non affected by reflect
- into unblockable

Old tom followed the same path
On the first BIG patch most guardian skills still affected old tom….while after some minor Patches it ceased to do so.
