5% DPS Bundle Question
“Player bundles (kits, conjured weapons, banners, etc.) will now scale damage based on the rarity of the player’s equipped weapon.”
Does this affect in any way ranger or mesmers? Since their weapon damage is reduced thanks to phantasms and pets? They still carry their own weapon coefficient but is just modified by the rarity of the weapon you have correct?
Yea plus since downscaled dungeons, you do seem to do way more damage (Just in general) does this 5% vary or is it just a estimate?
Could 2 ascended 1h weapons do more damage than just 1, 2h ascended weapon since technically the rarities are twice?
The patch wording is incredible vague lol

Player bundles (kits, conjured weapons, banners, etc.)
Player bundles
Bundles
It works exactly how it says it does. If you are holding an ascended greatsword (for example) and pick up a bundle, that bundle’s damage will scale based on the rarity of your weapon. Since Ascended weapons deal 5% more at base than Exotic ones, your kit deals 5% more than whatever it did back when you had an Exotic weapon equipped. Presumably this works in reverse too for rare, green, etc. weapons, although I haven’t tested.
By comparison, stuff like elementalist conjures and engineer kits were FIXED at exotic weapon rarity before, so they’d be better than your weapon if your weapon was less than exotic and worse if it was better.
The lower-level dungeons being much easier thing is due to the way Ferocity is calculated with level downscaling now. Before, if you had 100% crit damage and went into AC, you’d get scaled down to like 10% crit damage for some reason. Now Ferocity gives less overall but it’s fixed, so maybe you get 75% crit damage in a level 80 dungeon but also in AC. That has the effect of pushing overall DPS in those lowbie dungeons way up.
Which is awesome for engies.
