As the title states: I’ve completed more than 50 FotM fractals and still have not got any “Vial of Condensed Mists Essence”

Is this normal?

What do I do? Can I run level 10 without any agony resistance gear?

Same here, I’m now level 16 and just got my first Vial at my last run.

Explanation: RNG sucks.

Level 10 is doable without any resist.
Got my first vial on 70+ run (usually cleared everything).

I had my first vial on my 2nd Fractal or so. And had recently drop another one (30th or so).

i got mine after 55+ runs.

How you guys gonna count the amount of runs…. I got the first 2 on my first run. Magic find ftw!

Yeah my guildy was experimenting with magic find and got 3 in the 6 or so fractals we did.

For myself I’ve gotten 2 in about 60 runs or so.

55+ runs never got one
in about 30 runs my brother got his

RNG is terrible.

i got 3 on my first run from 1>3 difficulty.
havent had any since.

Got 2 vials and I’m only level 2..

Got one Mist Essence within 3 fractals. Magic Find here also.

No MF, got 1 in my first 7 runs

Run level 1 in full MF gear and kill everything. don’t skip any mobs. The best ones are the grawl and dredge fractals due to the large number of mobs that spawn. I’ve gotten 3 doing this method in about an hour.

Got one on my fifth or sixth run, and a friend had two in less than 10 runs or something.

my friend who has been running same level fractals(and with me) has about 4 mists. Me, i have nothing. RNG is a cruel mistress.

There honestly shouldn’t be any RNG when it comes to such big items for gear. A guild member of mine got 3 mist essences back to back while the rest of us haven’t even seen one.

I honestly am extremely disappointed that Anet decided to go back to the WoW RNG grind bullkitten.

I have gotten 3 so far out of a total of 12 fractals done.

I am only on the 3rd Fractal Level.

I am also running max magic find gear (though I do keep forgetting to eat my MF food, like a boss).

I am running with 4 other people I know IRL and none of them have gotten any yet. None of them are using MF. I’ve got scowled at a few times. So I guess maybe try upping your MF?

I’ve completed 111 Fractals and did not receive my first vial until past fractal number 80. It was frustrating to have all the other mats for my back piece for a long while. My team mates all had 3-8 vials drop in the same time – it’s simply RNG and some people have bad luck. It would be nice if the vials were purchasable for 100 tokens or so.

I must be lucky, 136 here and I have 6 vials and 1 glob from drops

Think I got a drop from my 1st run. Then did not see any drops until after fractal 10.
If u r skipping the mobs then there is a lesser chance that you will get it. Usually just drop from random mobs.

About 35 runs give or take including dc’s. I’m at lvl 9 at the moment and won’t do 10 until tomorrow since I allready did 8 today. Call me superstitious but I want my ring!

I had a big problem with dc’s the past few days and decided to download the entire game and perform a fresh reinstallment and updated my vga drivers yesterday so I did not do any fotm. Thankfully not invain for it seams to have resolved my issues with dc’s.

On topic I dropped a vial on my second lvl from a random mob. Today I did lvls 7-9 and got 2 vials only minutes apart.

Lucky me. RNG is RNG. Sometimes less is more!

Well if it helps anyone else i finally got one vial from the grawl fractal. I got it off one of the grawl in the very first part where you have to kill a lot of them.

No vials here after 80 runs, no ascended ring from my dailies, oh and (I) keep getting (WHY CENSOR THIS SENTENCE?) disconnected.

Really cool, especially because the new dungeon is one of the last things keeping me in the game.

<3 got 5 vials allready and I only did 5 runs atm

up to lvl 24, got 4 vials total. During the lvl 20 run i decided to give magic booster a try, ended up getting 2 globs in 1 run as well (only booster + mf food)

6 vials and 3 globs in 100 Fractals with 0% Magic Find.

First time running 20 today and got a shard, so happy.

The best advice is to not skip mobs, especially veterans on Ascalaon where i’ve gotten the most globs / vials. In fact, I think it is this fractal and the dolphin where I managed to get them.

Secondly, loot mobs! I think many players forget to loot “trash” mobs even though they drop them. I have yet to get a glob / vial from a boss or chest.

Oh with no magic find too!

I got my first two in four fractals then it took me around 50 fractals for the 3rd one. now i have about 80 fractals done and i only own three.

I got about 6 in my first 10 runs. Of course, I was stacked to the hilt in MF gear.

Ye i’m here to point my discontent about the whole dropping affair around the fotm dungeons. I’m sitting at lv15/16 and need to redo easier levels because when i play with other players that dropped like 2or 3 pieces and take absolutely no damage from agony when i’m always at the border of death, have to keep my dodge bar filled and my heal up at all time to survive them, i think it’s simply stupid. I really love the dungeons, but this is beyond ridiculous, give us enough tokens so that at least we can afford the minimal agony resist at each new 10level. Not only that but now the people i play with are well beyond 20, when i have to wait for the RNG. And i don’t even talk about all the side effect like me having full pow/thou/vit gear, and other running in full MF and glass canon, not even talking about noobs that still don’t even know how to take down final bosses at those level because they never had to work for it since their immunity never get them any difficulty. In any case fix your drop rate because it sux, thank you.

Man I’m level fotm lvl 5 and have 3 already, saying that once I get up a few levels ill probably never get the ring lol

Its just getting stupid, im at 1441 fractal relics and my static is up to rank 17 and i have yet to get a piece of gear or even a vile, not one. its getting harder and harder, im pretty lucky since im a tanky warrior, but the flame boss at the volcano instance is rapping me and the other member of my static who hasn’t gotten a single piece yet, like rng needs to be fixed seriously…

I got it on my 3rd dungeon. Its annoying that a lot of it is RNG based/mystic forge.

I wish some of the equipment required some skills or ability.

My wife got it on her first dungeon. In both cases it was the grawl dungeon.

Wow, the RNG really sucks. I got my first vial on my first run-through, and my second around my 13th or so maybe? If it makes you feel any better though I tend to get fairly kitteny loot otherwise, never as many exotics and rares and other fancy stuff as the people I group with seem to (and definitely no Precursor last weekend). I’m only on LvL 6 right now, I’m keeping my fingers crossed about getting a ring fairly soon after 10.

Random thought, could we solo in at lvl 1. Keep reseting it until we get a fractal we like, like “Snowblind”. Range Svanir at the very beginning and reset it again. Just keep killing low level mobs with MF gear to get it.

Right now on most runs, people are running passed low level mobs which are the ones that drop Mist essence and globs. Everyone’s focused on treasure chest instead.

If you want to farm trash you’re probably best off on the Grawl or Dredge fractal.

It is pure RNG. I’ve only done level 1, maybe about 10-12 different fractals, and I have obtained 2 vials.

Im at lv 8 and i got 7 ( used one ), the best fractal to get it is the one with dredges.

119 fractals completed and no vial.

I did a run with a guild mate on our first fractal level, and without any magic find additions he managed to snag a vial. It was really just luck. We were on the Asuran fractal and a harpy dropped it.

Try 179 fractals completed and no ring yet.

115 fractals, level 22, 3 vials of essence and absolutely no rings.
How am I supposed to go any further?

I have 6 and I’m only fractal level 6. :P

Really though, let people buy that and the rings with tokens.
