I’d be more impressed with a fotm 48 dredge fractal with the bomb room with no Guardians, no Shadow Refuge and no down states. Mesmers can easily handle the Shaman but the bomb room is a very different challenge altogether.

A whole bunch of HGH Greande Engineers could do it.

AOE stealth combo = free shadow refuge (I do this all the time when i dont have a thief)
Toss Elixir S for RNG WOR/Smoke screen (I do this when pug guardian fails)
Use Chill Grenade to keep mobs at bay.
Abuse that 1500 range.

I would be up for doing this but I don’t want Grenade nerfed again but its possible.

This fractal is not as difficult as many people think… actually it’s really easy if you know what your profession can do and if you have 100% reflect uptime

Yeah it’s possible: the problem is, there are more ele at higher levels and your AoE has a cap of 5 targets. If you get hit from only 1 ele and have no condition remove or some other options to get out of the way you can be dead in no time b/c the agony hits very hard and the meteors are not very friendly as well.
Its even more difficult to down the shamans shield, while taking care of the ele with blinding.

Already done in our all-elementalist challenge: http://www.twitch.tv/awsmcelly/b/407604209 (Shaman @ 1h45m). Honestly he really isn’t difficult, just dodge his agony attack and gg. At higher levels (79) the elementals are the biggest issue because they hit for 4-5k each hit each.

We’ve also done the bomb room using 5 mesmers: just put down a portal, everyone uses Veil and Mass Invisibility and done!

The dredge will pick up the bombs now. So you can’t just leave them there and stealth/run away.

For it to be a challenge it would have to be classes with no projectile reflect/destruction skills. A bunch of eles in a group like above takes away a lot of the challenge. I tried it with a group of level 2-3 rangers and it went pretty bad. Ranger is very underwhelming.

I guess I’d try it again with 80s and not all rangers if you need another and have people that can dodge arrows. I’d bring my warrior since that’s all i have without reflects.

The dredge will pick up the bombs now. So you can’t just leave them there and stealth/run away.

I’m fairly certain the dredge always picked up the bombs.
