Q:
Hi there. Search function farted on me, Google doesn’t give me anything but GW2Dungeons, so I wanted to ask here.
I’m looking for a daily dungeon rotation purely for the gold and token gain. I have a lot of time each day to play (around 5-7 hours, tops) but I’d only like to spend around 1-2 hours of that time doing dungeons. As long as I can make at least 5g a day, I’ll be happy, as my current goal is just Powerful Bloods for an ascended back item (but more gold in those two hours is always welcome!). Here are some rotations I’ve tried:
-CoF P1/2, AC P1/2/3, SE P1, and finally CM P1. That rotation took me around 3 1/2 hours with various PUGs, mileage varied greatly in terms of frustration.
-CM P1/3, SE P1, CoF P1/2, AC P1/2/3 That one took almost 4 hours with various PUGs. Wasn’t as frustrating due to AC’s easy difficulty and CM’s easy mechanics this time…
I’m currently a member of [noob], but I’m having issues getting a hold of the members for dungeon runs, so preferably the rotation should be almost exclusively with PUGs. Many thanks!

SE1>CoF1>AC1-3 is what I’d consider your top stuff. SE1 is just so fast, not unusual to get in and out in 5 mins even with a PUG group (don’t expect that, but just saying not an unusual thing). COF is similar, especially with a mesmer to make your life easier with reflects and that portal for the rocks. AC is just a lot of timegate and generally slower but 1.55g is nothing to complain about, though the other drops aren’t as good.
After that I think, especiall with pugs, you’re looking at things being pretty even as far as timing vs reward. CM1 is surely good, unless you get into one of those situations where you have to do the skips 5+ times becuase people keep dying. My personal favorite is COE, the time is up there taking probably ~15 mins per path in a PUG, but the rewards have alwasy seemed worth it to me with a pretty solid chance at charged cores/lodestones, get a lodestone and that’s 3g right there.
SE1/COF1 should probably be about 20-30 mins in PUGs in my experience all things considered, AC about about 10-20 mins per path depending on the group. So you’re looking at an hour, hour and a half right there. Add on whatever other paths you enjoy doing after that.
That said for the last month or two I’ve pretty much PUGed Arah and Fractals, and stuck to guild groups for the rest, so maybe my experiences aren’t as accurate on them if people have gotten generally better or worse.
You should be able to do AC P1/P3, SE P1/P3, and CoF P1/P2 in under 90 minutes (none of those paths should take you over 15 minutes) and you will get over 10 gold for doing them. This is what I do for my usual rotation. I end up with a little over 10 gold than I started with, but that’s not including materials I have deposited or exotics that I threw in my bank to figure out what to do with them later. If I had to guess, my rotation is closer to 15 gold. Possibly more.
Thanks for the quick reply!
From the information I gathered from your post, I’d wager this rotation:
SE P1>CoF P1>CM P1>AC P1/2
If CM doesn’t work out after a couple of days I’ll remove it and consider CoF P2, as I get that one done fairly quickly with most PUGs. I’ve not run CoE a good number of times but I can agree the reward for the paths there are pretty dang good. Cores and Lodes are always nice extra munny in the pocket. I’ll put it to use tomorrow, many thanks!
Though, I’d still like to hear other’s opinions!

Didn’t catch your post, it flew up when I was replying. Sorry!
I’ll give that rotation a try as well. I’ve had great success with AC all paths as it’s the easiest one, so I may end up doing those first as you do.
Yup SE1, CoF1 and AC all paths is the best for gold with pugs. That should take you about 1,5 hour, 2 hours if you find bad group or it take longer for group to fill.
Personnally, I also do CoE all paths and Arah path 2 when I can. CoE have some of the best loot (especially good if you plan on crafting something with charged lodestone), while Arah path 2 can be solo so you can carry a team if necessary and it give you a good amount of gold at the end.
twilight arbor isnt bad either with pugs .. it is fast enough
Hmm, aside from CM1 everything that’s been suggested is a night dungeon. Certainly simplifies the gear…
I always prioritize Arah but my next choices are usually AC and CM because they’re very fast to duo with my friend.
I usually do all 4 Arah paths, and if I have time and feel like it will do AC P1 + P3, and CM P1+P2+P3.
I never do AC P2 because imo that path is just AIDS. I kinda hate CM P3 too but meh, casual runs no one will care if you use the rifle gun on Wahlen ^^
