A few selfish bad apples are ruining pugging
There’s an ingame option to report LFG abuse. Do that and block the player.
Abuse of LFG system. Report them, preferably attaching a screen with them kicking someone from the group.
Take screenshots whenever you’re playing with multiple players from the same guild. Report them if they kick to bring in other guildmates. There’s really nothing else you can do about it. (Also, inb4 this gets moved to the Dungeon forum).
The other problem with this is, that you get people who can get really impatient with you and just kick you out if you make mistakes – it happended to me. This abuse really does knock some of the players confidence who haven’t dungeoned before.
Ohhhh ohhh boy. You and your thread have been shipped off to HELL.
Now, what would you like everyone to do for you? Acknowledging that some people, out there, are rude and dishonest? Well yes, people can be mean for reasons hidden to you. Some will go on your way and make your life less enjoyable while they pass by.
I mean, just asking this because you’re not going to get any answer from a dev and players can only choose one of the random, unfitting descriptions of a truthful-or-not “crime” and report in-game, not knowing if Anet even sees said report. Soooo… guessing. Is it scam? Is abuse more fitting? Oh well, they surely said many times that kicking before the end reward or mid-dungeon could be a bannable offense, but have you ever heard of anyone banned for this? No? Yes? Maybe for verbal abuse…
No, you can’t avoid meanies – it’s your choice to pug and take the risk. Nobody’s going to hold your hand in any way. You better harden your skin quickly if you plan on pugging a lot, and realise it’s going to happen again. And again.
What’s the plan B?
Always open the dungeon yourself. That way if people want to act awful they’ll either shoot themselves in the foot if you’re kicked or you’ll have the ability to take the dungeon progress away from them and the friends they invite by simply leaving to force them to start over.
^
That’s my insurance policy for when I PUG too. I do it for Fractals as well as dungeons.

yeah start the dungeon then, create your LFG. they need to have a pop-up for when another party tries to merge with your party too so you can opt to accept to deny the merge.
There’s very little to do then to open the dungeon yourself and be ready to take screenshots in case of things turning bad. That plus report/block, as some earlier posters have mentioned.
While it’s time-consuming, the best thing to do is to weed out the “rotten apples” before you start a dungeon. For ex. you asked for “English ONLY”, but it seems like no one is responding or understanding your instructions? Kick. You’ve asked for gearcheck and X party members either refuse or ignore to link their gear? Kick. You’ve stated that you want to “melee boss” @ X dungeon path. Someone is ranging? Warn them, then if proven uneffective, kick. The LFG could be viewed as your “demand list”. If players don’t met your “demands” then they have no business to be in your party. It may sound harsh, blunt and perhaps even rude, but it’s your LFG, your demands and perhaps even your dungeon instance, thus making you the “owner” of X dungeon path.
Finding an active, dungeon guild is usually preferable if you run dungeons a lot, but that is not always as easy as it sounds. But generally, don’t expect too much from PuGs.

Sorry to see this happening again and again. It’s an issue that the devs are aware of and looking to resolve. I rarely do pug runs for reasons such as these. There needs to be more liability to players behaving badly in groups.
Actually there is an easy way to correct this if Anet wanted :
A three point buff for the dungeons.
Characters get those three by defeating the main bosses. Only those with the three buffs get the ending reward.

The problem for this is: If someone disconnects due to lag or other issue (real life aggro, running out of time), the chances of someone joining just to help are very low. That would destroy some dungeons.
Although i’m the kind of running slow dungeons and not rush runs, running all bosses and such… i see a problem if people can’t join after someone leaves.

Nothing is perfect, I know. And there is another problem with that solution: legit path sellers would need to carry the party through ALL the dungeon.
But I think my method would be the lesser of two evils. Kicking is way too easy and convenient. We should need to think twice of the consequences before kicking halfway through a dungeon.
If you accidentally loose one party member you can always call for friends to help you if you are halfway in. But it is really annoying to always be under the threat of being kicked to be replaced.
How about this Fractal jerk then? He noticed that several of the players in the party had insufficient AR, and those players were going down a lot. We had already finished one Fractal, and then cliffside came up. He asked everyone how much AR they had, and of course only the people with sufficient AR answered. So he started a vote kick…. on the party leader. So everyone instantly got kicked out of the fractal, all our progress for nothing. Now I wasn’t the party leader, it was just some random pug, and I had 45 AR, so I was fine. But some party members were simply taking a lot of damage. Not insta-kills mind you, but they probably had around 20 AR.
I then whispered him, and here is what he said:

Make the party yourself and try to be considerate of your own limitation, if you dont have enought AR to stay alive just dont open that level till you do.

Do jerks say “sorry”?
We’ll call him a light-jerk then, for saying sorry.
After all, he did still get us all kicked back to Lion’s Arch.

This is why we need gearchecking.
gearchecking will lead to the same junk as gearscore. some guys will obviously overdo it and start asking for a full set of ascended item just to get in the latest dungeon even if its not necesary. Now now those arent world of warcraft raid yet but i guess we could use a check wich for instance will check if a player runs a power build or not like it would show the player 3 top stats

I would love to have Healing Power + Vitality and Toughness together. My guardian would ascend to Godhood.

Sure, you would be immortal. But all gods need to kill stuff sometimes, which you would be incapable of doing.
GW lore has proven that Gods don’t do anything. They enslave…umm I mean, request human players to do things for them cough-Kormir-cough
