Guild Wars 2

Right before the fight, she’s got Laurent at her mercy, but he still has a bit of fight left, and even when the fight starts, he still counts as a friendly while attacking her. (green name, doesn’t go red)

So…has anyone managed to “save” him by healing him up and/or killing Vevina before she can kill him? I tried once with the guardian support tome, but I messed up.

I’m pretty sure it wouldn’t be intended to happen, but it’d be neat if there was a different cutscene/dialog from him if he survives that fight.

I don’t believe keeping him alive till the end of the fight would change anything. It is extremely difficult to do though because he would have full aggro while he is still alive.

Would’ve been a neat thing though, since unlike when Fyonna and Vevina are betrayed, you’re pretty close when Vevina decides to finish him. The other two you just watch from a good distance.

Oh well, we’ll never know. Not tomorrow anyway.

I have been in groups that that kept him alive for the entire fight before. Ones I can remember involve 2 eles spamming area heal combos on him. The fight became noticeably drawn-out but also became rather simple since the party generally do not get targeted.

Alas, I always skipped the cutscene so I wouldn’t have notice any dialouge changes. (Not that I remembered how the original dialouge was anyways)

So, does he just vanish or just stand there and do nothing after?

Keeping him alive will cause him to take all of the aggro from Vevina and she most likely won’t attack you. You don’t need to heal him or anything, he is a main tank. After the fight he just stays there.

He stays there. If you manage to heal him (I’ve done this a few times because he makes a good tank) she attacks him the entire fight and he just stands there once the fight ends. The story is the same.

we just managed to burn down vevina before the dude died. Nothing different, won’t even talk to us >_>

On old guildy said he did this. He just stands there and does nothing if you keep him alive.

Keeping him alive as long as possible is the main strat for that fight.
