I was with a pug group running this last night and after about two hours worth of wiping, arbitrary number and health difficulty of enemies, and the horrible mechanic known as down-state, (seriously, this mechanic is awful, i’d rather have a healer class than have to deal with this repeatedly. It adds no depth to the gameplay and just detracts from the experience. Please gut it, but keep the reviving mechanic and adjust the numbers accordingly.) We finally got to the end where Detha is supposed to lay the pheremone trap. So after all that pain and suffering with the ridiculous combat mechanics, we got to the last room only to have the event refuse to run. We backtracked and did everything we could to try and get it to trigger, but nothing worked. I wasted almost 2 hours for 6 blue, generic skinned items and the loss of 20+ silver in repairs (another stupid mechanic that needs to be looked at. The removal of solid class roles and effectiveness has done nothing to aid the gameplay experience in my opinion and stuff like the repair mechanic should get another once-over.) This is ridiculous to have to go through all that arbitrary difficulty and feeling like you’ve been setup to fail with bad combat and skill system design just to have the final event bugged so you have no chance at getting what you even did the dungeon for in the first place. Let’s be honest, they aren’t designed well and this just exacerbates it all. Please look into these problems, i’m so tired of these frustrating bugs ruining my already dampened (by design) gameplay experience.
