Well done! A perfect display of eles not being useless, unlike what some people like to think.

Nice run, good display of different weapon sets.

Seems like, Staff for most fights. D/D for mobility and minor bosses and S/D for kite fights.

Eles have to be good at something am i right? BTW i would had posted a Lupicus solo video shortly after yours but with no Reckless dodge my ele eventually dies to his bubble after i use all 3 Cantrips to get out of it, sucks.

Use Evasive Arcana.

You know I was ready to tear my hair off during those burrows, just so painful to miss attacks.

Hmmmm, the bad part is trying to convince a friend to come help me again on his mesmer to get past the light part and wait afk there since if he leaves it kicks me. I did try it as a 30 earth condi spec with Stability trait and its a little slower than berserker but then i lacked the burst to kill the grub in the phase 2 transition, sigh.

I wonder if someone will still find a way to complain about or say only a warrior could do this.

Only real thing that seems class dependent is the burrows. If you’re unable to beat them down fast enough then you’re screwed. Everything else “should” be doable on most classes.

This ele had 3055 HP, the warrior over 4k plus the armor difference. And in what part of this video, on a character downscaled to lv35, did you ever see this ele hitting with a skill for 9k damage, let alone half of that. Fire Grab is 45 sec cd vs. 6 sec 100b and doesn’t even hit for half the damage 100b does.

Do Wars do more damage than Eles? Totally.
Do Wars have a bigger advantage then Eles due to their 80%~ more base HP and about 10% Armor? Hell yes, its like being able to take about twice as much damage.

But being able to do it at range or melee doesn’t matter, its the fact that its able to be done. Looking back i could had done it with only 20 Arcana but i made the spec on the fly and went for it.

Been playing ele since Beta and i consider myself pretty savvy on the class and game itself. Eles will never be as good as Wars in sustained DPS ATM due to the fact that we have too low base HP, armor doesn’t matter that much (I won;t even get into the lame 10% Damage for each attunement and CD reduction crap we have). But if we would get Base HP at even Mesmer levels which is like 4.2K more, Tanky DPS Eles and Bunker Eles would be so broken in PvP.

You can solo lupi on ele even without “our” reckless dodge (evasive arcana). Though, I soloed him through whole phase 2 nad 3 once without EA and few times in phase 1 while practising . So it’s doable. If you want to know what I’m using just send a PM or ask here.

I have similiar issues on guardian in phase 3. Lack of defensive skills with greatsword/mace+shield in phase 3 and only about 12k hp. Though there is one trick to get out of bubble, but it won’t work with ele.

Just ignore this guy. He’s had a hard on for warriors in every thread. Now that another class posted it like he claimed couldn’t be done, he’s still got to bash warriors.

Nice job on the solo. I always love watching these.

You can try doing this in p2, the only issue is abomination.

I actually have very little experience with Arah TBH since ive only done path 3 a total of 3 times with a group lol. But ill look into Path 2.

I would have showed you some tricks how to do it as fast as possible and maybe some tricks for lupi but I think you’re playing on NA server.

Managed to clear path 2 up to lupi today, having issues with lupi resetting when p2 hits though, bah.

I managed to kill him on guardian, it’s easier to clear path 2 (abom mostly, first boss is afk-able) but I still think it’s easier to kill him on ele. Focus offers tremendous amount of defensive skills, obsidian flesh is few times better than mist form (longer duration, short recharge).

What exactly is happening there that he resets? If you want to get rid of the last grub, you should get away from him, use swirling winds (that will stop him from shadowstep, it’s a projectile) and obsidian flesh (to avoid kd) and nuke the grub asap. And don’t go further than the center of the arena.

Done this aswell, excluding all those mini graveling mobs e.g. after the spiderqueen and the troll. Burrow part and boss have honestly been annoying.
Arah Path 2 and 3 are doable, done them already with skipping few things like Lupicus – that guy is honestly extremely annoying without having block skills lol. Better to not use Berserker Gear there though, i’ve been using Power/Toughness/Vitality Gear, Dolyak Runes and a 0/20/0/30/20 D/D Setup.

Amazing work, congrats! I wish we could see the video in slow motion, to learn as we watch you play.

Don’t use offhand dagger, it doesn’t offer anything and rtl never works at lupi. Just walk away when he’s in transition state.
