So yesterday after the patch I wanted to check out the new boss mechanic in AC path 2. After we defeated the more annoying spider queen and all the other trash, it was time for the boss fight.
After we realized, that we needed to drag oozes into the traps to remove the protecting boon from the boss, we managed to get a couple of hits in. After a while all traps were filled 100% but the boon was not removed again, no matter what we did. The traps just won’t do their thing boon removal thingy. We dragged the boss from trap to trap but it did not matter.
After maybe 30 minutes of “battle”, we decided that this does not work and the group disbanded.
So, were we doing something wrong or was it not working correctly? Is there something you need to do with the traps for them to start removing the boon?

The event does seem to be bugged. When my guild ran path 2 AC, we had one of the traps fill itself to 100%, but would not trigger. We juggled between the other 2 to finish the fight before they bugged.

I did it today, and it was a pain. Not only did the boss constantly bug himself so I would have to get rid of defiant with Chaos Storm (the only skill that would get rid of defiant since he wouldn’t move) between every trap, but the trap system was soooo janky. If more than one person was lifting an ooze, they might not get pulled. If more than one person is pulling an ooze, it might slow the pull down immensely…

I like the idea of having traps that are integrated into the fight, but why not have auto-traps that hit the ground at random areas for a period of time or possibly target the ground then activate when the boss gets near unless it doesn’t get near after X amount of time.

I’ve ran it twice since the patch, no issues other than the Ghost Eater standing still for ~30 seconds before unbugging.
