AC is unfair to certain players...
Umm… all you need is a Greatsword…. ya… conditional damage build sux big time against structure only but.. a warrior shouldnt have that much problem because…
Arms = 20% Faster 100 Blade, Whirlwind…
Even without a GreatSword…
Defense = 25% longer Stance Duration , Auto Balance Stance, Active Balance Stance, Dolyak Signet Activation Stability, Auto Endure Pain, Active Endure Pain.
“Shake It Off” Gets you back on ur feet…
Shield as offhand lets u activate block and run around with 3s block…
EDIT: p/s I agree it is unfair to some classes but not warrior imo.

ANY melee character can run circles around burrows and kill them solo, regardless of how many gravelings you are being chased by.
You kind of hurt your own argument when you said “frantic V spam.”
Because, you know, there is simple timing to it you can learn. Maybe he wouldn’t be as hard if you did.
Oolune :: Engineer — Arrow Of Oolune :: Human Ranger -- Shadow Of Oolune :: Human Thief
Box The Turtle :: Human Warrior — Bolobuns Of Steel :: Human Guardian
Warrior is actually OK. I’ve been in that dungeon specced the same way. What you do need to do is change weapon and major trait options. Personally, all my characters carry around all weapon options they can use (which gets problematic for warrior given space).
Necromancer, however, has serious problems, and because of that I do agree that condition-users need to be able to help break objects.
For Kohler (not sure the spelling) stability helps a lot so having a Guardian helps for that, he can’t pull you with that on, I also think it has a limited range and can be dodged(?), not sure on that though. Most people skip him because he can be annoying to fight.
You shouldn’t be having problems with burrows if you are a warrior. On path one where you need to take down the burrows and protect the NPC just have someone stay with him and aggro all the gravelings while everyone else bursts down the burrows, that is the only place I actually have trouble with, if it goes wrong it is usually because the NPC went down.
Unfortunately condition damage doesn’t help with breaking things and I agree that it should help with objects.

It can and should be dodged. The animation for that move is 3 seconds long. Also, stability, projectile reflection, hiding behind a pillar and outranging it works. This boss is here for that particular reason, teaching you how to avoid the boss’ special attack. Skipping him will only carry that problem onto the next encounter with a huge attack that should be avoided.
Remove conditiondamage and defensive gear out of PvE.
It has it’s place in PvP but just makes people complain about “things beeing too hard, can’t deal enough damage”.
Or….they can leave it in and improve it so that it does have it’s place in PvE instead. Damage vs objects is a good starting point, then they can look at stack limits so you don’t get boned by having too many condi specs in one group.
man o man I hope you never attempt it on necro since we have zero access to vigor, gl spamming dodge lol, and one of our few high damaging weapon sets for burrows are melee range haha…yet we can do it, so can you. Kite and attack, all there is to it
~Surrender fiend and you will get an easy death
~I could promise you the same…but it would be a lie…
Rly, why make changes in AC was good before this is the first dungeon for lvl 35, was a lot of low lvls doing it and now if you are below 80 you get kicked from group.
I honestly dunno why they make Ascalon harder than Citatel of Flame, after all it is the first dungeon of the game level 35 should serve as learning and not as something kitten only level 80 in full exotics etc. .. the way it was before was very good doable with level 35 in blue / green gear.
Now you need to pray to dont get kicked from group cause you arent 80 or wait for years to get an group.
ArenaNet thanks for ending the fun of who was level 35
Groups now want only level 80
In my opinion its just a game was suposed to be fun and enjoyable not a pain or stupid hard thing only for pro geared ultra mega combo hardcore ppl.
http://www.gw2lfg.com/ check it for only 80 on lfg for ascalon and try to get in a group with an lvl 35.
People were getting kicked before the update. It’s not that difficult. You just need to learn the mechanics which can be done outside of the game by reading guides and watching videos. The dungeon was way too easy before.
I also disagree that this should be an easy dungeon just because level 35 players can do it. With it being incredibly easy before the update, players did not learn anything. They saw the red circles from the spider and stood in it. You can just read the posts of these people who supposedly ran dungeons all the time now fail because they never learned the mechanics.

We clear this pretty easily and I run ranger so my advice is: watch successful dungeon runs on youtube and practice. GW2 is a game that requires skill in the place of gear gating / gear grind. Remember those old school games that were actually hard to beat? GW2 sort of pays homage to that.
