AP shouldn't be visible ingame.
Yeah if they are about 2k or below then you can assume they are new. Anything above is completely random and its like playing a lottery.
Well, I guess I can only shrug.
I miss template pings T_T
Traits should be visible.
Gear stats should be visible.*turns and runs away *
I agree, if I could see someone was using full soldier gear and a spec with full defensive talents I’d instantly kick them from runs advertised as “full zerker speed run”. I had some ele’s yesterday that REFUSED to use ice bow, even though I asked them multiple times very politely, and one was using AIR SIGNET while the other was d/d using corruption sigil and staying in water stance 75% of the time. Both of them kept dying on every fight and had no idea how to do the dungeon despite the LFG saying “Experienced”. We ended up having to kick both elementalists.
I PUG every day. 6k AP PUGs are clearly better than 4k AP PUGs. It’s really obvious. Are you guys not seeing this? Is it just at my time of day (Euro lunchtime) or something?
I really wish I had 8k instead of 6k. A lot of HotW/CoE/Arah PUGs won’t look at 6k.
That’s hilarious, I’ve NEVER seen an AP requirement over 5k and I’ve only seen 5k+ once. 3k+ is high enough to keep out inexperienced players.

I find people with AP above 15k usually run bad builds…. but thats just personal experience
Template pings got the disadvantage of everyone telling other people what to play.
Even clueless people will do so.
I never liked the “HB+UA” backline meta wasting an elite skill for a rezz, while you got a ritualist in your group who could easily rezz and an active prot would have been more usefull.
It’s easier to coordinate a team or give some advice with templates. But i’m sure a lot of players will see comments like “metabuild is ..”. Even if they run a good build or it doesn’t make a big difference. It’s way easier to copy a build instead of thinking on your own. I’m sure a lot of players will tend to kick other players even in “not fullzerk-meta” groups because they don’t run metabuilds (or what they think meta is…). But some other builds are still okayish, especially for inexperienced players.
I’d like to see “build pings”, but I also see those disadvantages.
So you need enough AP to tell your group which build is ok.
Ok for me.
My personal experience is that people from 8/9k – 13k ap are usually pretty decent. Any more and they are ap farmers, any less and they are inexperienced/pvpers/wvwers.
OMG that happens to me too!!!
- Today I went a a Full Run CM, I said I knew my stuff. (REMEMBER: I never got kicked in my 14k+ account)
We were at P2 path, the part were we needed to kill those mobs to get to Briggete.
Before that I said I had stuff in my oven and it was only 1sc, I ran to see my nutella croissants and ran again to the pc, it took like 10sc.
They went ahead and were killing the mobs before Briggete and they die. (NOTE: I was not there)
One guy, after that, said that he asked for exp people.
After that my pc freeze and I had to restart and since I have a Disk SSD it took me less than 1min to restart my pc and enter gw2 again.
To my surprise I enter gw2 WITHOUT a party.
So I never got kicked in my main account, In the 10sc I went to check on my croissants they die and I get kicked? o.o
On my main account, even if I dc I NEVER got kicked! Even if i say brb and take 10sc, I NEVER get kicked.
:c

Anyway, we all know you’re a lame llama at the game – perhaps it’s the achievement farming that is like a poison corroding pro hardcoreness.
/thinks of back in ta with a 23k ap bearbow that couldn’t make a single skip
I met him the day after at tequatl, he was a wvw commander. LOL. Dem kazuls.
Just wait until HoT is released and mastery points are now visible to every one. You can be certain that that will be used to filter players.
