Agony resistance in fractals
Armor/weapons (ascended/legendary), Infused rings/backpiece.
Anything that is ascended can have infusions and everything can be ascended except for an aquabreather.
You can infuse the rings and back piece. You can get 30 AR just from trinkets with +5 infusions, and then you can slot a +8, another +8, and a +9 into the Agony Infusion slots of Infused trinkets. This gets you 55 AR, enough to do level 49 (and since it’s on trinkets, it means you can do 49 on any character!).
Then you’d need 3 other +5 infusions somewhere else (ideally: armor, and not headpiece) to be able to do level 50.
Alternatively, you could go for all +10’s on your infused trinkets, meaning you’d only need 2 +5’s from armor. Decide for yourself if this is worth it over the alternative of 8, 8, 9.
make ascended armor, toss +5 on all pieces thats +30
make ascended weapons toss +5(x2) on one set = +10
+5 per ring
+5 per accessory
+5 on backpiece
+5 on amulet
thats +60 right there with out have to infuse
toss on the +10’s +12’s default +5s on infused and you should be able to hit 100 easily.

What’s the highest practical AR you’ll ever need anyway? I’m pretty sure that going above 60 would be largely pointless, except for certain Fractal instabilities (but you can just avoid playing those).

Assuming you mean not doing Fractals 50, the minimum AR you’d need is 55. You might get away with 65AR on Fractals 50, I doubt 60AR is enough though.

Use this table for reference. In higher difficulties the reduced healing along with the periodic agony instability (lvls 30/40/50) can really hurt you (unless you are using a class with good passive sustain such as warrior). In those cases you probably want to take a maximum of 6% per tick. But ideally you should go for 1% damage per tick for the levels you do regularly. So you want 70 AR if you do lvl 50 and 55 AR if you only go up to 49.

I think instabilities start from 31+ :P
Meh w/e xD
I roll with 70+, though I stopped doing Fractals a while back, and I’ve yet to actually do scale 50… yeah you’re definitely going to need ascended armor to get that much, though.
