Alternative for Dungeons in the monthly's.
I love dungeons, I don’t know why – I just like them a lot. I’m happy there’s a monthly dungeon run. But I was thinking, I don’t really like WvW ( I don’t really know why either.) I would be kind of annoyed if I had to do WvW for a monthly. I would still do it because it would give me an excuse to get better at it =P
So maybe the montly “dungeon” could be a swap between Dungeon, PVP, and WvW. Then theoretically, everyone would be happy.

I don’t know, I feel like the whole point of monthlies is to get you to do a bit of everything, like I hate crafting but I need to do it for the monthly this month. If I don’t do it all I miss out is 10 laurels, which is no big deal in my book.
the monthly achievements is there for you to try different aspects of the game each month, and at the same time be rewarding and not too hard so you wount be able to complete it.
besides, if you die 10-20 times in a low lvl dungeon for doing 5 paths a month. then your clearly doing something wrong. so you should work on that rather than complaining about the monthly achievement which is easy.

Bingo. Monthlies aren’t required. If you want the laurels because you feel ‘compelled’ or whatever to get ascended gear, then you need to be prepared to work outside of your comfort zone. Do what needs to be done to get the reward you’ve decided that you want.
They are designed to get you to do stuff. And as crazy as it sounds, that is meant to encourage you to do things you otherwise might not do. I tried keg brawl for the first time the other day. Why? It was a daily achievement, and I figured I’d break out of my comfort zone and try something new. It was amusing. I’m sure the same will be true of you doing dungeons if you decide to play to improve your skills and find better teams (or a good guild). A few bad experiences should not discourage you from an entire type of end game content.

I see your point – now please you try to see mine… I feel like punished for not beeing able to finish the dungeon section. I want to enjoy the game, not to be punished for playing it. And yes – as I previously stated – its clearly my fault for not beeing able to finish it, but I’m better at different aspects of the game. So if there is a way to swap these it will be more “win-win” situation I guess…
The point of this thread is not to argue if the swap is needed – I personaly think its unavodable to have swap in monthly too.
The point is what swaps should we propose to arena so the monthly get better experience.
