Am I the only one that ..
no you are not. i’m sure there are players who think alike.
not me tho.
i don’t like to stand in places bosses cannot reach, as it makes the fights feel fake. and if you fake playing dungeons, why play them at all.
you might say rewards. but are they really?
i say that journey is more important then destination. and the moment players stop caring about playing itself, but care only the ‘end result’ – rewards, they burn out.
because in the end of the day only the fun you had matters.
Dungeons can still be quite enjoyable. Just find groups that want to fight the normal way. Not everyone likes the exploits. I have found many that just want to fight things the normal way.
Main: Caeimhe – Sylvari Ranger
Alts: Charr Guardian, Asura Elementalist, Human Thief, Norn Necromancer
Saulius – Couldn’t agree more.
When I play Fractals of the Mists especially, I enjoy fighting the bosses. Most are much more difficult then the other dungeons in the game and in turn are a lot more fun.
I hate standing and auto attacking Mossman.
I hate stacking on the Archdiviner to essentially skip the fight.
I think arena net does a wonderful job and all, I really do, but the fact that these exploits go on for soooo long is a bit discouraging. FotM came out in November, and Mossman has been glitchable every single day since then. I just wish they’d get on that sooner so less skilled and outright lazy players can’t exploit these things for loot/progression/etc.
But that’s just my opinion =P
I agree with most people here, i used to play Runes of Magic, while the game was cash shop heavy and had its own issues the dungeons there were fun, hard but fun..and had direction in their mechanics..
Guildwars 2 dungeons are just frustrating and quite tedious, i feel its because the classes have no real direction so the dungeons mirror this sadly..
Finds dungeons in this game to be completely unenjoyable.
They shouldn’t be called dungeons, they shoudl be call “stand in safe places”. Or figure out the only mechanic.
That’s the same for every other dungeon in every other mmo out there.
You do anything enough times and it becomes tedious and repetitive.

I, personally, find few dungeons frustrating. Most paths of most dungeons are easily completed by a decent PUG. I frequently run dungeon paths with PUGs that I find through GW2LFG, and practically all runs have been successful.
