So right now a lot of people that I know is really fed up about Dredge. Anet themselves have admit that Dredge is already too long and just frustrating and not fun in general, this was a few months ago before the big Fractals patch, and now the problem still exist. Anet hasn’t done anything to make Dredge less frustrating, in fact they fixed one of the glitch and now seriously Dredge is a nightmare.

Are we supposed to cross our fingers everytime and hope we don’t get Dredge 3rd fractals? If we do I guess we just gonna restart the whole Fractals? What kind of game mechanics is this?

Please do something about this because tbh Fractals is one of those few places that actually fun instead of mind numbling dungeons. The rewards for Fractals is bad but I couldn’t careless because that’s what regular dungeons is for, who cares, but please do something about Dredge and make Fractals enjoyable again. Thank you

Keep in mind that the longer Anet ignore this problem the more people will be even more fed up and just stop doing Fractals in general

Thanks! I had completely forgotten that part, yet now that I read it, I remember it. In this, they just admitted it was too long, not frustrating nor not fun. Also, he said it was an option. And another option was to make the current fractal tiers.

So all in all, they acknowledged the general issue and provided a promised fix. Only it’s not the one we wanted

I honestly don’t see as much of a problem with the dredge fractal nearly as much like so many others seem to. There’s only a few things with it that p*ss me off.

1) The caravan. It’s just so illogical and awkward; we kill the champion and now wait for 8 or so ‘trash mobs’ to just pop out of nowhere and repeat for 10 mins. We also can’t even attack them for the first few seconds they appear. This is poorly designed. It doesn’t make any sense why it’s happening this way.

2) If you’re with a pug team, it’s often times barely within the realm of possibility to coordinate properly to get this done. Out of all the fractals, this is one of the least feasible ones to clear even the weakest of the mobs by yourself.

3) While it’s true that there are a ton of heavy miner bags that people will all end up with, it’s not rewarding enough to justify putting up with. People on this game seem to be so obsessed with “saving time” that something requiring a significantly larger amount of coordination and effort should defiInitely be more rewarding. Increase the reward pool(s) for either the daily chest at the end based off of which fractals were completed and/or at the end of the dredge fractal!

The only thing Anet listens to is their metrics — and more than half the time, the interpret those metrics incorrectly.

In any case, the only way to get action is to quit every time you get the dredge fractal. It’ll leave a tangible mark in their metrics if enough people do this — and it’s the only way to get them to act.

Dredge fractal was not fun for me when it came out, but now … it is a nightmare, i stopped doing fractals months ago, i dont like this fractal, too many people expect me sometimes rage quit after all broken pieces of armor, or even when dredge load us into there. I am also dissapointed about fractal weapons skins … made like 350+ run of 28-40 lvl (before fractal patch) got only warhorn…

Delete it completely, or make dredge not have prot boon with that insane dmg, make them spawn less or just make us kitten the room, push the control, less kitten bomb door, less kitten clown car and it is okay.

Just for AN information. Thanks to your ‘fix’ me and a large group of people from my guild stopped doing FOTM on higher levels. And its not becouse its hard for us. No, we made level 49 so many times, level 50 too. We stoped doing this becouse dredges are NOT FUN. Why you dont understand this.
At the only thought that we can get dredges on 3rd fractal we are so discouraged that we give it up.
I dont know even why I’m writing this, becouse truth is that you dont care about it.

You are right in saying that there are lots of threads concerning this topic.
Basically it mostly revolves around dredge and rewards.

Given that there are so many threads concerning these topics, one wonders why Anet is not doing anything at all. At least they could reply and share their view on fractals. I don’t think that they want to do so, but it seems that they are emphatically driving people away from fractals.

As I am exclusively pugging via the lfg tool, I do find it getting harder and harder to get a group for 40+ fractals. Even getting people for 30+ is not as easy as it used to be.

On a side note: For pugging it might just take too much time to do 4 fracs to attract people. I wonder if a reduction to three fractals would revitalize the community. Then again… maybe it is just the somewhot toxic pugging climate for fractals that drives people away…

This fractal sucks. So much. The lowest score I would give any other fractal out of 10 is maybe a 5 and that would be harpies. This is a 1. Making the fractal “tiers” where the longer more excruciating ones go last was a really weird decision. After 2 fractals do you really want the LONGEST one to finish? When you’re already tired and possibly have damaged armor? Never made sense to me.

Many things could fix this fractal, not the least of which being the balance of Dredge mobs. It’s like they made a list of all the things that could make PVE mobs difficult, then threw them all on one type of mob with the Dredge. Massive damage, high attack speed, boons (applied so frequently even bringing boon removal doesn’t matter), CC, immune to blind, can’t reflect the worst attacks, the list really goes on.

Fix this type of mob and this fractal would improve to a 4/10. Still WAY too long.

Yeah the rewards is pretty much why I stopped playing it.
