Guild Wars 2

Since you can belong to multiple guilds in GW2, it seems to me like there’s room for someone on each server to effectively set up 8 guild specifically for education, communication, and group formation for specific dungeon runs.

For example, an AC-Dungeoneers guild, an SE-Dungoneers guild, and so on.

Then, people who need to farm AC for a while can join the AC-Dungeoneers guid and when they are in the mood to go farm AC, they can represent that guild and try to get a group set up from a more limited and focused pool of like-minded players, rather than by trying to advertise for a PUG.

Speaking for myself, PUGs are anathema in so many ways it’s not funny. I do group content only with a smaller pool of people that I know and with whom I can have voice comms for better coordination, and so on. And that means guildies only.

Problem is, if you’re in a smaller “casual” guild as your main guild, you can’t always count on being able to field a full 5-person group at any moment when you feel like spending an hour or so on group content. It can be much more hit or miss.

Anyone know whether any guilds like this have been set up on Maguuma? It would seem useful to the community to somehow create an index of guilds like this here in the dungeon forums, because the “Guilds” forum is frankly a mess that’s impossible to wade through.

Great idea! I would definitely join these guilds. I guess it wouldn’t matter which server b/c players from different servers can enter dungeons together.

Not sure but I farm them for gold most days just pugging with players that I meet that are really good pug farmers.
I recommend running pugs as you level an alt or on an 80 and adding the players that you think are the best to your friends list.
I get invites to run dungeons all the time this way.
Important note do not be rude to people or kick them from these groups because when that has happened I never run a dungeon with them again.
Rude and or ridiculous party kicks = ignore.

This seemed like a good idea so I took the initiative to create 3 guilds. I’m already in 2 others and the max you can join is 5 (so you can’t join all 8 guilds I’m afraid)

I have created Ascalonian Catacombers (AC), Caudecus Manorians (CM) and Twilight Arborites (TA) guilds. These are the first 3 dungeons people can access. I’m hoping other people can take up the initiative to create other guilds for the dungeons they do.

I really Dont feel like creating Another guild. But im up for farming Honor of the Waves and Crucible of Eternity. I can spec into full support or full offense any time. So i Dont think thats a problem.

I like this idea actually. I’d be particularly interested in AC and CoE runs. (And possibly Arah once I’ve learned the ropes)
