Any list of Condi Immune/Clearing encounters?
Fractals:
Second Archdiviner (Cliffside) clears every time you phase
Both the Elemental and the Dredge Suit (Dredge Cage fractal) aren’t good encounters for condi, because their superheated buff doesn’t affect condi ticks.
If you’re not skipping trashmobs or get unlucky pulls, the some of the Dredge trashmobs clear condi.
Molten Effigy Champion (at the Molten Duo Bossfractal) is immune to burning.
Elemental Source (Snowblind) can’t be harmed by condi.
The Svanir Shaman in Snowblind times out your condi everytime he phases so you need to ramp up again.
Mai Trin clears everytime you phase
Imbued Grawl Shaman (Volcanic) clears everytime you phase
There are some encounters where I personally think condi is just trash, such as Raving Asura in Uncategorized Fractal and the beam cage in Aetherblade retreat, because you barely get to ramp up enough to make it worthwile, but that might just depend on class.
Some things i can think of
- Alphard has -100% condi reduction so you wont apply any conditions to him except when having condition duration of some sort
- Lupicus cleanses conditions on every phase switch and when someone is getting hit by his life drain aoe
- Hunter&Crusher does a condi transfer (thank god its only 1 stack/condi)
- The Crystalline Entities are immune to conditions
- Subject Alpha cleanses conditions regularly while using his skillset
As far as the archdiviner condi clearing goes, that isn’t a Ranger problem. Ranger’s longest cool down is 20 seconds for Flame Trap. It’s not like Engineer where Incendiary Ammo and Flamewall have horrendous cooldowns. A condi ranger will be able to have full DPS each diviner phase.
I also think the cannon phase at Mai Trin is probably long enough for every condi build to get their cool downs back
Ramp up time for condi ranger isn’t as pronounced as engineer since you only have to cast 4 skills and you’re at your max DPS. I think ramp up time was something like 5 seconds for the ranger. The benefits of a condi build where bleeding isnt the star of the show.

The Searing Effigy in CoF p1 condi clears as well, right?

Definitely true
Not having to ramp up bleeds because you run out of burns quickly/having long CDs on it then also makes Ranger quite alright versus the Svanir Shaman
I was wondering whether the Squire Ashym summons cleanses him. I only recall getting mad when playing Engi there, just not at what
outsider, that would be the permanent retal.
alphard has -100% condi duration as well
the determined buff clears conditions when applied.
such as the evolved destroyer in coe p3 cleansing when his shield goes up

Against svanir shaman you have to remember that confusion does a good bit of damage to him when he ports up since every ice spike counts as one skill usage. And engi can still keep at least some dps on him by shooting a mortar up there.
The damage multiplier on Brie does not affect condition damage.
Just a note about Alpha, he clears condis only in p1/p2. Condi clear occurs when he uses his fire attack / dragon tooth summon. In p3 he does not use that attack and therefore doesn’t clear condis.
