Arah Explorable, Jotun Path not finishing
My guild just spent over 5 hours in the Jotun path in Arah explorable mode. We reached the gorilla boss named Korag but skipped him because at first he seemed impossible. So we ran straight through the spider packs, through the room with the evil guardian orb attacks, and found the Jotun Stargazer boss. Once we learned how to use the reflecting crystals, we beat him with 3 people as the other 2 ran back.
When the gate behind Jotun Stargazer did not open, we went back and figured out Korag. Once we killed him, we went back into the Stargazer’s room. Still nothing. Because of this we went back and cleared out the spider room. Now we’ve been in this dungeon for over 5 hours and it refuses to continue or finish.
To say the least, I’m incredibly disappointed. Please can someone address this issue? I know we shouldn’t try to skip past bosses, but nothing a party does should be able to break an entire dungeon from finishing.
Just did this dungeon path was a pain in the…. There is like a 3 minute walk between giganticus and the waypoint we somehow managed to take him down with a pug. We decided to kill the gorilla by pulling him away from all the corpses. Overall this path was way too long for 60 shards only took us around 5 hrs

how do you even enter arah? i havent finished the story mode yet and the gates are always closed.
Apparently my 1 hour average arah runs with pubs are actually quite fast lol. But yeah you just have to pull mr gorilla away from the corpses, and clear the gorillas on the way by pulling them outside the area you’re going to fight the boss in. That way he won’t have any adds, and you can focus on just him alone.
I think you might’ve missed a “chest mob” somewhere, a mob that has to be cleared for a chest to spawn. You run this risk very quickly by skipping parts, and perhaps even bugging what normally would not be bugged.
@Sandtiger: until the group leader who enter is on explorer mode, you will join the group. If you’re the leader and you didn’t complete story mode, you have to complete it to be leader.
@Inci: Have you tried it after the patch/ does the jotun path actually still work?
We just tried it again today, this time killing everything in order: Ooze, Crystallines, Tar Elemental, Lupicus, Gorilla, Jotun etc. This time round the NPC was actually talking when we reached the Jotun but after killing it we were still stuck with the observatory remaining locked and searched endlessly and couldn’t find a key? Bugged or are we missing something stupid? At least this time round we didn’t have to put up with a pug mesmer who only had greatsword (seriously, he didn’t even have other weapon skills unlocked at lvl 80, must’ve paid some gold seller or something) and couldn’t kite to save his life so things died ALOT faster and knew the boss mechanics this time so it only took 2 and a half instead of 5 hours (we somehow wiped from lupicus 5 times this time though and the marathon run on jotun path is just so long and wiped another 5 times at the jotun cause apparently just standing there with reflecting crystals while dodging the occasional obviously telegraphed lava font was too hard lol).

It should work, I did it after the patch with a Pug. It worked fine. The door should open after you kill the boss which leads to another 2 rooms where the final boss should be.
Not A Message.
Like.. did you use the observatory? lmao.
How do you ‘use’ the observatory? Was the stone with the symbol meant to become interactible or something? ‘Cause we scoured the room mashing ’F’ and nothing happened.
Actually, it could’ve been because of the Ooze this time round. I couldn’t sleep at night so I lay there thinking about it and remembered how this part bugged out.
When the ooze split into two champions, instead of spraying crap all over us like they usually do they decided to take off and scaled up the cliffs to the left (just before the area where the orrian spiders spawned under the overhang) and became un-reachable, after a while though the champion icon on them over the map disappeared and we could still get the chest from the stone you get when the boss split (I don’t think a cut-scene played this time though but I can’t remember if there’s meant to be a cut-scene here?) so we assumed everything was fine and continued though I did suggest we restarted the dungeon >.>

No cut scene for me, did this last night with a pug, took us about 4-5 hours to complete. We did the same thing with the Ancient Ooze, just killed him until he split in two and turned in the blood and we didn’t have any problems, so I don’t think it’s that. Giganticus was the hardest for us, took us several attempts but managed to kill him. Once we killed the stargazer the Observatory opened for us, and we were able to click on a telescope for a short cut scene and then we were rewarded with 60 badges and a few silver. We skipped a lot of mobs, anything we could get away with. Not sure why it bugged for you =/
I do not believe in your _ .
