Arah Explorer.
You understand that the Giganticus Lupicus AKA the guy you guys couldn’t kill, isn’t the last boss right? He’s the middle boss and there is the last boss after it.
Here’s the joke. Giganticus Lupicus is only the 3rd boss out of 5.
He’s probably the hardest though.
Keep trying, eventually you’ll learn how to CC/interrupt those risen mobs and they’ll be easy.
I agree, this system doesnt work unless you’re in a good group with communication. They implemented stuff like dynamic events and share-able nodes to help encourage people to play together and make the community stronger than they implement stuff like this. Which means majority of PUGS will fail… Spending hours of trying for no reward at all.
Every topic about arah “Inci” or “DKP” come to defend this dungeon.
A lot of dungeon paths in this game are horribly boring and rewards no skill or intelligence at all, but Arah is probably the exception here.
From reading your description it’s clear you don’t understand the mechanics of the boss completely, in which case wiping will come naturally to your group.
I do kind of feel that his HP could be reduced by quite a lot, especially during the 1st and 3rd phase, which are complete cakewalks compared to phase 2, but that’s about my only problem with Arah. Otherwise a very well designed dungeon with boss mechanics that are easy to counter once you are aware of them.

Read the Guide. Ofc, this dungeon is not that hard once you get what to do:) Spreading the knowledge of how to beat this dungeon makes it more fun for everyone. Its probably the best dungeon out there;)
Plus it saves me 10-15min of typing and explaining before every lupicus attempt. Although after each 10-15min of explaining, we beat Lupicus after 2-3 wipes. Pugs usually get the feel of what to do right after their 2nd wipe, but sometimes it takes 3.

Everyone understanding the boss seems to not be enough a lot of the times when trying to complete a whole path with a pick up group. It seems they didn’t make a lot of the paths pick up group friendly without having to wipe way more times. But it seems the devs would rather focus on chiding us with finishing a path or getting nothing than fixing mobs like this.
You are not supposed to complete explorable mode in a PUG.

The thing is, Lupicus can be beaten with a PUG. The problem is, most of the GW2 community have near 0 experience in the correct way to beat Lupicus. This only comes from practice, and actually beating Lupicus.
Just keep trying untill you get it;)

Which is bad for the game in general, locking people out of one of the few end-game activities to do.
From a purely PvE perspective, dungeon and legendary farming are the only endgame activities. People will get frustrated and leave the game, and this game will become another Diablo 3.
Having said that my only problems with dungeons right now are:
2. I think enemies have too much Health, and in certain fights, it gets extremely boring once you know what to do.
2. Not being able to do dungeons when my friends are offline. No point in spending hours wiping and repairing now that you don’t even get partial credit (Tokens only upon completion) and DR glitches everywhere.

how many times must someone from ArenaNet say that explorable modes are intended for those who can work together well, communicate and play their character well?
Eventually people will all get used to it, and you can pug with whatever you want.

You farm dungeons too much if you get so bored fighting “trash mobs” in a dungeon. I dont farm dungeons at all, I just do dungeons here and there. Random one here, random one there. To me, none of the mobs are trash, they are just part of the challenge, and part of the dungeon.
Do jumping puzzles, merch, join a Guild. Talk with fun people, not whiners:) Do WvW, join Guild Events, go hunt special recipes for special items etc etc etc.
