Guild Wars 2

Hello,

in about two weeks I got some nice time to spend and beside WvW and living story I plan to do some dungeons (8 in the morning almost no one of my friends is online and I want gold for my ascended backpiece). I never played Arah and just know where it is located, that it is long and gives three gold after each path

So I wanted to know how long each path takes, how much is skippable and stuff…
And: is it better as an elementalist or warrior? I would prefer my dd-Ele (if necessary switch to staff or sd) but if warrior is better then… well I may think about that, no promises :P

Path 1 is the easiest, but path 2 and 3 are pretty hard. Path 4 isn’t that bad. TBH story mode is the worst. You’ll also want some Cleric’s gear for your Ele since bosses and mobs hit pretty hard and you’ll need to heal your team. I’d also suggest a Staff.

btw for my first time arah p2 it took 4h and we didnt finished it because one has to leave before endboss <.< was 2months after launch

That whole post is like trolling his own trolling, confuses more than it helps.

@OP: You’ll probably want to go with your warrior since eles have it a lot harder. That doesn’t mean they aren’t an as good choice as warriors are (well, they overall aren’t), though. Paths 2 and 3 are pretty easy to pug, Path 1 in a pug group is horror. I wouldn’t recommend you doing path 4 out of an organized group either.

If you want lots of coin for time spent then try some of the really short dungeon paths elsewhere. Arah takes much longer for inexperienced players and the really fast players won’t want to carry you round. Fast Arah runs have a lot of skipping, some of skips possibly being exploits. Try the Arah paths out in order 3-2-1-4. Take the warrior as most groups use warrior based tactics.

so some say p1 is the best, then there are people saying that p2 and p3 are better…

yay ok I think for Arah I will wait until there are some in my guild who want to do it, then maybe a bit more organized than with the lfg-tool

You will not get through path 1 in 98% of pug groups. Trust me I tried a few times since lfg has been out and haven’t been back. Path one isn’t hard if you are playing people who know how to use WASD to run past mobs.

If dont have much time i would suggest doing p2 only because p3 is only 1.5 and it not worth the time . P1 is extremly hard to skip and.theres not a single waypoint in that path . So yea if you dont wanna suffer too much and.get ez gold p2 is definitly the way to go . But if you need quick money champ farming is way more profitable unless you have a didicated dungeon guild..

Arah story is the best

Your first time ever in Arah explorable and you don’t have much experience in the other dungeons.

Set aside a few hours and pack a lunch. Also, bring a back up soul after your spirit is crushed.

Or get lucky and get a good group who carries you quickly and doesn’t kick you.

ah well, I have some experience, cof, ac and caduceus story :P but yeah, I think I’m rather gonna champion farm instead of arah
