I dont know what it is recently but tbh most of the people sporting the dungeon master title have been atrocious. I think half of them have been carried through every single dungeon, because there is no way in hell otherwise they could have got the title.

@OP; I feel your pain. I main a ranger and I litteraly cringe every time I see a bear user. I explained to one bowbear player last night why the bear was a bad choice in general and asked him to take a ranged pet. Wouldnt you know it he upped and left saying I didnt know rangers because Ive never used one and I was being an elitist jerk. I was playing as a guard at the time and was extremely respectful, didnt use any offensive remarks and was generally very polite. Oh and said that I used rangers at least 3 times.

Some people are just plain ignorant and will remain so no matter what you say.

PS: there is a fail thread in the dungeon section, if everyone made a thread everytime pugs messed up, this section would be filled with fail threads.

I dont know any decent dungeon runners that actually show off their DM title. Showing off DM is usually a sign of someone whos so proud of being carried to get it at last.

How can this take 7 hours? i realise its a pug group but that should still only take 2-3 hours max

No offence guys, out of my 6 classes, only my ranger was allowed to show off that title way back when. Now since she’s a legitimate contender, I remove that title off her too.

To be honest, I wouldn’t have kicked them 7 hours into the run. That was a mean thing to do. Seriously. I would have kicked them 5 minutes into the run! :P

WTF is the appeal of Brown Bear anyways? It’s not like they look cool or anything, and their autoattack is so weak… Why do people use them? If you want a tanky pet with good support, use Canines, which have knockdowns and fast attack speed… WHY do people use bear instead!?

(PM me ingame if you want a competent ranger by the way. I use 1h sword!)

When the game first came out I used the brown bear because I figured the pet was dead most of the time anyway, so he might as well cleanse a condition while he’s alive. I remember doing TA groups in the first weeks of the game where nobody would melee at all. We thought the wurms in the first part were ridiculously hard lol. Some people never progressed past that stage of learning.

Ugh my main characters are champions of the gods (most kitten title since it’s from GW1) but I think some of the others still have DM…. does that make me a half baddie?

I still use ‘Combat Healer’ after all the atrocious DM players I see.

I use either combat healer, volunteer or golden.

I don’t use a title. We’re not allowed to in CoN unless we have ultimate dominator, plus it’s obnoxious in WvW when all the titles clutter your screen.

Emissary of the Mad King most of the time. Dungeon master on professions i’m not (yet)good at and/or down a lot on, like thief for example. I put on my Volunteer title when i carry newbies in dungeons.

I use the DM title constantly, because it is the onle one i like (and i didn’t get carried in the dungeons either).
PS: Even if i main a ranger i also hate bowbear rangers, you get better damage with a axe or sword

I demand flamethrower engis be removed from that list because… flamethrower.

Whenever I see an engi joining I think “yay! 25 stacks of vulnerability! Condition removal! Boons!” And then I see the flamethrower…

Ah I still remember the time when a ranger in my group was melee’ing Alpha with his/her LB…..well for me I don’t really care how people play as long as they don’t die…

And I don’t think pistol thieves are that bad….I sometimes use them myself…

I don’t see a big difference between a downed leecher or an alive leecher and i justify none of them.
Atm i use lfg tool just for dungeons pugs cannot compromise.
If i’m just a kittenbag elitist for them than they are just meat shields for me.
