Arah Path 1, kitten you!
http://www.youtube.com/user/randomfightfan/videos?view=0&flow=grid
oh and the group I was with decided to stay in the dungeon for the rest of the night trying to find a way past that and to no avail. Ironically, through their experimenting, they found a way for the NPC to get out and past everything while also keeping us players locked out. I also managed to shadow step past the initial wall of the door but couldn’t get through the other half no matter what. Because of that, nothing could be done.
Oh, a solution just popped came to me, have a wp IMMEDIATELY appear as soon as the jotun dies, wait for it, BEHIND the door! there ya go, problem solved. YAY
http://www.youtube.com/user/randomfightfan/videos?view=0&flow=grid
there is a way to teleport through the door via teleport skills, Thieves are best at it with the ability to spam their Shadowstep ability on the shortbow compared to other proffesions.
Arah in general needs alot of work though im guessing devs are busy working on the new dungeon & the new loot system over this atm.
hell Arah is locked for half the servers all the time anyhow.
Next Arah Update: Bugged fixed In Arah Path 1 so players can no longer teleport/blink past the last door.
Retired Until Expansion or Meaningful Content is Released.
We’ve found that getting her killed while the fight is in progress seems to work. When you run in, run to the far door. This gets the npc at the top of the room by the jotun stone. Then go to the center and stall the fight until the fire ring kills her by closing in slowly. Kill the stargazer, the fire ring will be closer to you and the npc’s dead body will be outside the ring of fire. When the stargazer dies, she pops to life and opens the door.
Until they make her invulnerable to fire, it’s really the only option for finishing this path.
Altaholic, can never have just one!
To Lorna, if you could show me how to do that or direct me to a video of that I would really appreciate it. I looked around a bit but couldn’t find anything.

We’ve reported this numerous times and it is just now being looked into>?
haha you are blessed on our world Gandara Arah, the whole dungeon is constantly bugged and we can’t enter at all. And this is for more then a month. Most of the live game the dungeon is bugged… Frutrating and lame. No wonder many people leave…
Yeah while I’m going back through the archives here, Mr Hrouda:

Note:
J.King found the first thread, so no RoRo… this isn’t the first time it’s been looked into
.
PS: Detha’s Path in AC also has a new Bug during the Ascalon Ghosts (their spawning or stat scaling is bugged)
This is what happens when the devs blow all their monies on KITTEN and PUPPIES.
Washington state hasn’t legalized either of those … but a quick news search on ballot initiatives would have given you more accurate & topical legal content to substitute that might not have risked an Infraction

I’d like to say 2 things :
1. I LOVE YOU.
2. After long long 10.5 hours with alot of pugs, bugs, server build, frustration, sweaty balls, no food, no coffee, no shower, I MANAGED TO FINISH THIS PATH!!!!!
This was definitely worth it, I got another step closer to my dungeon master title, and the pants I bought feel godly, and they fit me perfectly!
HATE YOU ARAH!
P.S : Do I have to mention it was all pugged T_T?

Well I’m just happy that this is getting some looking over, thank god. On top of that, how about give Lupi a 15s grace period before he is able to reset so that stupid resetting bug doesn’t ruin another arah run for anyone ever again. Thank you.
Btw, what I mean by the resetting bug is that he reverts back to full hp sometime in phase 2 even though there are people currently in the room and dealing damage to him.

Same here. We got hit with the door bug and it took us 5 HOURS to get through. We just want our path 1 achievement and tokens!
Another main concern is no PUG or Guild group EVER wants to run Path 1 ever again once they’ve completed it leaving those who need to do it for the achievement out of luck.

Would you want to do it twice? It takes forever and isn’t really challenging either.
Paths 2 & 4 seem a lot more exciting by comparison.
Ok, Now hear me, i (thief) successfully teled to the other side, the trick is to use two shadowstep function together quickly.
Towards door left frame, use shortbow key 5, you will get in the frame. repart until you get there.
Once you in the frame, switch to dagger/pistol, use 3 ?shadowstep) and 2 (heartseeker) in fast sequence, if success youwill be out of door frame, still stuck however.
Now, repeat that! and you will get through! Please leave your gratitude if success!! !!!!!!!

yeah it’s ridiculous for me as well.
Why even have an in-game report feature if noone is looking at these reports?
I’ve reported a lot of things to find a dev post on this forum 2 weeks later that they “just found out about this”…
-Mike Obrien
“We don’t need to make mandatory gear treadmills” -Colin Johanson
To Lorna, if you could show me how to do that or direct me to a video of that I would really appreciate it. I looked around a bit but couldn’t find anything.
we found the trick was to teleport into the wall just to the left of the Door, from there teleport further to the left as you basically bypass the invisible wall around the door itself.
once your inside the wall it’s possible to use charge skills aswell as teleport skills to get you all the way through, the key again we found was to aim for the left wall rather than the room and the game will budge you across, we used an Ele’s Magnetic Shield for this.
Yep, I’ve seen half a dozen of Arah path 1 complaints here since I first encountered it myself about 1 month ago.
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/dungeons/Arah-Explorable-Jotun-Path-not-finishing/first#post296347
And we only came to the conclusion that it was the NPC’s death causing the bug 9 days ago and finally got around to get it to working for myself on the 3rd run.

It’s been a great journey playing beta tester and I’m glad it’s finally gotten their attention again sniffles.

still not fixed even after a month.. <_<
Gandara
I’ve done this Path twice and never suffered this issue. It’s annoying but the sure fire way is just to figure out who the NPC is following and leave them in the Spider/Crystal spawning room. Thus the NPC can’t die in the fire. The boss is easy enough even missing 1 and it’s yet to fail for me, door opened both times.
