Arah Path 2 - like a raid...4hours
Spent 3+ hours in Arah last night. Got to the final boss and couldn’t beat him. I think we were all just tired at that point. I see no point to do Arah anymore. It was a good pub group and we couldn’t beat the last boss. Choices to get Condition damage, toughness, and precision gear just decreased for me. I guess I have to try TA now.

We wiped a few times on the giant mid boss but other bosses were easy. The walk is just very long…so many turns…
So we had issues with the final boss. I think his name was Gigantic or something like that. He drops red circles, charges at you and fire bolts at you. I think each is around 13k damage or so? So if you were hit by 2 things you automatically die. you guys beat that boss with ease? I think we took the last option on that list. Not sure if that’s considered path 4? I was told we all finish on that final boss.

Just so you know, Giganticus Lupicus is not the final boss of Arah.
He’s the mid boss that all paths share, and depending on the path you’ll have 1 or 2 bosses after him.
Didn’t tried path 1 and 4, but between 2 and 3 path 3 is easier and faster.
I tried Path 1 (Jotun Path) last night and it was very long and tough. There was no WP even remotely close to Giganticus Lupicus so wiping on him was a nightmare. Eventually we downed him only to get stuck on the gorilla boss after him – Konga the Mighty. He summons endless gorillas and the staff provided to intrupt his summoning does not seem to work every time. After spending over 5 hours in there I had to leave and go to sleep…and got no rewards for my time there. It was fun but exhausting and unrewarding…I’m not jaded yet but a few more runs like that and I will be.
I stopped playing dungeons. Rewards are not worth the cost, and a large part of the high cost (stress, repairs, time) comes from bugs and the 2004 era dungeon design. I would almost prefer bosses drop named loot than the terrible token system they have now. No tokens until you beat the dungeon? One person had to leave when we were about to fight the final boss. When he left group it booted everyone out of the dungeon. I logged when it became clear we had to start all over. 3 hours and not 1 token.
I will WvW on my main and level an alt. Will not purchase gems until dungeon system has improved.
Beating Arah is totally satisfying and fulfilling. Had a few 3-4 hour runs, but we figured it out, do it in about an hour and a half, without skipping anything.
For giganticus, a few people should have res utilities to save from running back. Phases 2-3 should be at ranged, and phase 1 should have a good melee beating down the grubs/locusts in the ranged pile.
Only annoying thing about Arah is Simin the high priestess on path 4.
