Guild Wars 2

We tried several tactics we read/watched online and none worked.
Our whole group is full power/prec/crit build except our guardian so our dps is very high ( over 3.3k attack in the hero-screen ) so this shouldnt be an issue.
We tried:
1. Normal ( at least I think ) : We nuke her down to 45%-50% she goes invis and in our best cycles she only healed about 10% to 15% and we got all 5 sparks into the circles while she was invis. So we had her at about 60% and then after we nuked her ( even faster ) down to 45%-50% she went invis again, this went on for about 3 iterations – she never got above 75% but every time she was going invis at the same time.

2. Nuke her down while invis: We saw this on some vids on youtube where people just lure here into a corner and nuke her down even while she is invis. This didn’t work either, she healed the same amount while invis even if we hit her ( like I said earlier dps shouldn’t be our problem ). Our group is 1 warrior, 1 guardian, 1 ranger and 2 mesmer with 1hand-swords in this phase.

3. Bug her: We pulled her out and got her to invis and sometimes we only had to put 1 spark into the circles and she got visible again – the problem with this is that it is not very consistent sometimes we only need 1 spark, sometimes we needed 3, sometimes all of them.

In short this was all we tried and don’t have a clue what we are doing wrong or what we are missing. Would appreciate some help =)

The nuke her down while invisible doesn’t work anymore, it has been patched at 03 of december or close to that. A common strategy used right now is:

- Take her to 50% so she goes invisible
- Put 4 sparks in the circles, wait her to regen and reappear
- Take her one more time to 50%
- Put the last spark in the circle real quick
- Do all the damage and burst all your DPS and hope to kill her before she goes invisible again.

Use undead slaying potions (+10% damage), foods that increases power and precision. Going with 2 mesmers is great, as the dual Time Warp real helps for this fight.

Another thing that really helps is that you can actually dodge the petrify. After you see one debuff near you (Sorry, don’t remember the name, but it’s something like dead stare), wait it to reach 0 seconds and dodge. Your character will become grayish but you’ll still be able to attack. That makes you able to dish even more DPS without worrying with someone trying to unpetrify.

You can as well try fightning near the statue, just make sure the last spark won’t attack someone else than the puller by being too close to it.

This is the method I use as well now that they fixed the other methods. If you are running the dps gear like you say you are you should have no trouble doing it this way.

Also after she gets to 50%, then you let her regen to 100%, and dps her down again. We usually just have her in a corner, let 4 people dps her down to 50% again, and keep the puller by the spark area. This makes sure that the puller is the only one who agros the spark so he can put it in the red circle quickly.

Then he can come over and you can all dps her from 50% → 0% quickly.

until they stealth fix this method and Simin becomes night on impossible anyhow.
tho i will say the more warriors you bring the better, because their DPS is far greater than any other proffesion.
also mention that not only can you dodge the petrification but you can also use Stability in the same way and if you have Stability up as the Petrification is about to take effect it will just make you gray and you can continue to do whatever it is you do, be aware however that Simin likes to stick to targets and a new gaze will quickly turn you to stone if your stability wears off, Hallowed Ground is something you may wish to consider as it’s a very long duration Stability combo field from the Guardian.
