Some Arah sellers are just hypocrites, >.>
Earlier I did an Arah run, which I sold (no PuGs were kicked) and upon completion get PM’ed by another seller. First he was just telling me to delete my post, which I promptly did, but was then followed by a lecture about having to delete the post when I get a full party. As I went on explaining that I forgot, it escalated into him accusing us of skipping Lupicus and threatening to ban us. Ironically I asked a friend to join his supposed “legit” run only to find out he skipped Lupicus and is selling it too.

Lots and lots of them. Not saying they’re skipping Lupi, but yea :/

I can confirm that many (or should i say most?)of them have skipped lupi. I sometimes go in people’s runs and kill lupicus while they wait to fill up the group, then usually leave.

I don’t see those activities much in NA servers and I have looked at LFG website for those like 4 or 5 times. Wrong timing for me or is it a normal thing for EU servers?

I have a feeling path 2’s exploits will be fixed soon.

Unless it dramatically changed since I transferred to US servers, the average EU pug couldn’t even handle something like AC so the fact that there is a massive spam of arah path selling and a market that can support that many sellers doesn’t surprise me. And that was the AC pre-revamp. I don’t even want to imagine what AC pugs are like post revamp.

And on US servers you don’t get kicked for meleeing lupi.

Edited: If Obal just started his LFG today, he probably would have the same problem like Chryzos has because Anet just killed their group’s motivation by nerfing the tokens. So this problem (Arah selling) is laid exact at Anet’s feet.

Hmm, in the only american path 3 arah pug (experienced only) i was told that i am a firsttimer because i did hunter first (while they were wiping on poison field). When we reached Lupicus they attempted to kick me for meleeing instead of killing their grubs.

The grass is greener on my side.

Why Arah path’s selling are notorious in EU servers? It doesn’t mean NA has none of it. but I haven’t seen a lot on LFG website (unless I missed it).

Exploiting isn’t allowed, we just do Anet’s job.
Also they don’t get permanent bans.

LFG bans are generally IP bans. Not that hard to work around at all.

Yeah, i had people report/ban me from gw2lfg.com three times in a row yesterday for selling an arah p4 run i duo’d with a friend(took us a while since i hadn’t done path 4 in half a year or so), so i just IP changed and put a new ad when that happened.

Those people were really happy for us selling the spots to my surprise.

If you actually had to register on LFG, that would make things a bit better. I guess that would have it’s own problems though.

See if Anet implemented a real LFG system in game they could do what gw2lfg is doing with bans but make them real. Or just add code that detects if the flags didn’t all get popped but a dungeon was completed…

Nono, that’s making the game itself require proper progression, what I’m saying is have it mark your account if you completed a dungeon instance without going through proper progression so they can investigate and ban. Of course they could just actually get around to integrating the same system they put into everything else back when you could do 3 path hotw without touching any of the events.

dub, don’t try to act like a dev, it’s not like you haven’t used exploits before, giving people the ability to skip lupi is anet’s fault, and honestly, that skip is so kitten annoying if I could solo lupi I’d probably solo him instead of using that skip.

There are many ways to do the skip. They are pretty easy, too.

Didn’t you help discover the exploit in the first place? Most likely doing it yourself for a period of time (and profit) and now you’re suddenly “anti-exploiting” because you can now quickly and reliably solo/duo Lupicus yourself?

There are lots of ways to skip lupi. In the unlikely event they fix the one most path sellers use, I’ll still have mine (huehuehue) which I’ve kept pretty secret for personal reasons.

Also yeh Dub being a hypocrite when it comes to Arah exploits is nothing new.

I guess exploiting path 4 is also morally wrong now?

On EU Servers they start to sell P1 Slots. The Rusher shoots himself with a consumable throught walls to skip a lot of the run. If you want to learn this “Secret” u have to pay 200g

You can’t skip Shoggroth in p1, you need it to trigger lupi and you need to trigger lupi to trigger the endboss. So, you need at least 4 ppl to do p1, although I might be mistaking and have wrong information about the sequencing in p1. I never bothered glitching p1 that much.

Also, he doesn’t go ‘through’ walls, but over them.

You have to do Ooze, Entitys, Tar Elemental and Jonun Stargazer in this order to qualify for the reward. Lupicus can be skipped, just as in path 1. Not a huge problem here, though, since you need 4 people for Tar Elemental and doing Lupicus is faster than skipping him in a party.

I just did a duo of path 2 and we felt like selling the remaining 3 spots then my buddy got banned from gw2lfg from too many reports. It was a legit run too. I guess the rage and *hurt must be strong these days.

I hope you didn’t try to sell for a cheaper price to fill your party up quickly, runners seem to think that’s the worst insult you may throw at them and often report just for that… But I’ll persist in selling for 5-4g.

I’m not really a path seller/runner and this isn’t really something I intend to do daily. My buddy had some trouble soloing lupi, I came to watch then at some point we decided to duo it so that he could get some experience in a more comfortable way. In the end we decided to complete and sell the path because there’s no point in not making money out of it, we already ran the path, not doing it is like saying no to a money printer.

As for the price we did go for 5g then 4g but it was the worst time in the day for any sort of dungeon activity so we just wanted to get people in asap.

This a thousand times. Whenever i duo arah path 4 with a buddy, then put up a gw2lfg ad, i get flagged to oblivion, then i have to reset my IP and put up another one. This process repeats around 2 to 5 times until i fill up the group. Sometimes i just cave in and invite friends/guildies to finish the run.
