Guild Wars 2

First off I know about GW2LFG but Arah Story mode crops up very rarely on there as its an event people usually run just once.

Im looking to get a group of four to join me for the Story mode of Arah. Ive been playing for 1k+ hours and for about half of that ive had my personal story sat on the final Zhaitan battle. Time to finally bite the bullet and get a group together! I was due to complete it with my guild but those that were online havent been back on since the new year.

Im free tonight from 6pm GMT (yup, European server) and most of the weekend so if anyone is up for it either post here or send me a message in game.

I agree, I’ve looked on GW2LFG for story mode but very seldom are there any posts. I can’t say I’m dying to do this. I hear it takes 2 hrs and is very anticlimatic. And I can’t help you since I’m on the US servers. But if there is anybody on the US servers that might want to get this over with on a Saturday or Sunday morning I might be persuaded. If nothing else I gave you a little bump. Hope you find a group!

Well the big boss man has said that dungeons, including story mode, will be revamped to make them more rewarding to repeat so hopefully, if worst comes to worst, we can just wait until then and get many more takers. Good luck in your quest though!

I am also looking to finish this on one of my characters.
It is impossible to find groups for this.

Ill add you and maybe we can get something going.

Id tell you not to do it because its really crappy imo. I did it yesterday after a looong time i couldt have done it, and its full of “oh, how lucky i am that this obvious thing that could be happening right now isnt happening”. I really cant believe that they put so little effort in the greatest climax of the whole story. :/

Why do this dungeon story, its one of the biggest insults in gaming.

They go on about the elder dragons like they’re one of the biggest baddest bosses in gaming in the story and hype it up so much.

And not only does Zhaitan fail to live up to that claim, but its such a anti-climax that its insulting, he’s no where near as big as what the game and adverts lead you to think.
And all you get is a scripted event where you spam the 1 button to fire a cannon at a ……….can’t even call it a boss. Its just a background prop.

I was expecting a boss this big and epic A.net.

I was under the impression that Arah story exists only to let players get rid of the next personal story step indication at the top right of the screen, not for replaying it.

It is indeed painfully long, with cinematics that exceed the time it takes to watch the whole LOTR trilogy, and level 5 characters to 80.

However, it is needed to get the annoying story step removed.
You also get a rare or 2 for completing it, making it the longest ever farming for 2 ectos.

Having said that, I can testify that on Gunnar’s Hold, every time I saw the instance entrance event completes, there is at least 1 group forming up for Arah story.

Later tonight, around 19:30 server time I’m going to have a go with a friend of mine, since we’re both at the last step of the story on our current characters.
