Ran my first Arah exp last with the this guild last night. We did path 3 with things going pretty well. We were at Lupicus is phase 3 and my internet decided to shutdown. I had no internet for the rest of the night. I just wanted to apologize to my group, sorry guys… :P. I’m sure you were able to finish the fight without me, just hope it didn’t take too much longer.

Hi, I am interested in adding this Arah guild to one of my guilds.

Characters:
Mesmer (zerker gear and rabid gear), traited shatter cat build
Experience:
I have completed path 1 once and 2/3 multiple times.
Haven’t attempted simins (p4) post patch but would like to get DM eventually if theres a group going and I have hours to burn.

*Other: I also have a guardian with AH/EM traited but never brought him to Arah before. If the other party members are patient, I can bring him to learn the ropes of playing guardian in Arah.
Both characters are in full exotic.

Name: Vargz
Profession: Warrior. I also have an 80 thief, but he still has a few 78 exotics and I don’t prefer playing him in dungeons.
Traited: Axe + Shield or OH Mace with traited banners (or healing shouts, if need be). Gear is mostly berserker with a few pieces of power/vit/toughness.
Experience: Haven’t done Arah explorable a single time yet.
Time: I’m on almost every night.
Other: I have a necromancer approaching 80 and I want to pick up the Arah armor set for him, so I’ve got to get a ton of these runs in for tokens.

I normally run path 3 (sometimes 2)at least once a night normally late evening eastern time. More then welcome to pm for a group.

We are setting our status to lfg to help show interest and form groups for now. I thought of this later on so it didn’t catch on to most yet. It’s in the guild message. A lot of people can’t rep the guild so this is the best option for now. Hopefully they will do something with guilds in the future that would suit our needs better.

Other: Have played a lot of CoF/AC/SE/TA/HotW with both guildies and pugs. Somehow managed to pug to FotM 24 with ranger but don’t do FotM much any more. Quick learner and happy to follow polite instructions.
Time: Usually online between 11:00-16:00 GMT most days; sometimes more on weekends.

Ive been wanting to run paths 1 and 2 on weekends but have been waiting to see how runs went. They arent much harder or longer than path 3 with the right group. And get a chance to run more of Arah.

I usually run with 2-3 guild mates that are also as experienced as me that have done most of Arah as well just lookin for some experienced players to fill up rest of group with.

Also have a Necro Conditionmancer full exotic toughness/precision/condition damage, mostly find i am usually getting aggro on him and just getting him into 10+ fractals and doing exp modes like AC/TA/CoE/CF

I’m still not fully pro but if you see me online and not in a dungeon I’ll most likely join, I try to have my LFG tag up but will only rep while in the dungeon itself.

Agreed, this is an awesome guild even though no one reps. I’ve only run twice with the guild so far, both times with obal. He and everyone else were patient and friendly. And having pros like obal in there make these runs a breeze if everyone follows direction. When I pugged this dungeon before it was an absolute fail. Thank you to the organizers of this guild!

Obal made the game looks easy. Wait until you run w/ a less than ideal group then you really know how much you know. Got to tell you that I learned a lot w/ a wiped group than w/ Obal, but Obal gave me the confidence that Lupi isn’t that bad. And Lupi isn’t that bad.

That’s pretty much how I learned. I learned pretty quickly how to utilitize all my skills to revive and stay alive at the same time as well as how to deal with full aggro (every attack on you except a few autoattacks at 2) since it tends to fall on guardians when people start dying. Thanks to all those kind souls who took one for the team and helped me gain the experience to solo lupi as well as revive the team when everyone one else is completely dead but me . My runs are just to get you started, show you it’s really not that bad, and help you deal with such things.

Having no previous experience in path 4 is fine but do please be experienced with the other paths (mostly GL fight, since this path could be longer than the other paths it’s not the path to start learning Arah) and have a direct dps set of gear. Send me a in game mail (or pm if I’m online) if you are interested, I’ll invite the people from the guild before others.

Path 4 is at least 50 min long with a good group, so expect it be an hour and a half at least with new to the path people. Manage your time right.

Haven’t failed a run with these guys yet. Haven’t even come close to wiping on Lupi. This guy is supposed to be a big deal?

Thanks! and congratz. Obal does the lionshare of the work. He does a lot of the inviting and ranking. He makes big efforts to make sure people get a chance to make there first run in Arah and makes it look easy. I chip in where I can. The way this has taken off has really been a big surprise. And so many are happy to help out the people new to arah.

It is amazing how fast it has grown and with so many nice/helpful members too. I have yet to come across an “elitist” in the group. Such a nice change of pace from what you see in many dungeon groups anymore.
I have been trying to remember to put my looking for group up any time I am available to go on a run. I am normally good to go as long as I’m not in another dungeon/fractals.

Should get some sort of channel going, would help the guild more and we could communicate more with players in and out of dungeons.

Any members here in the guild who want to run path 3 daily (or even twice) or path 2 daily? Even at peak hours with 40+ members on, hardly anyone is changing their icon status to lfg. I still have to resort to PUGs to do my daily runs.

Sorry Yasha. Ive msg’d you 2 or 3 times for runs but your afk. Just bad timing. I’ll generally send out half a dozen msg’s to different people and get 1 or 2 replies. Seems like people just want to run arahs on the fly and put groups together at the last second. Ive tried to msg people 20-60 minutes in advance. I kind of like running them around 7:30pm EST after a reset. But it takes awhile to learn other peoples schedules.

Hey Kumakichi: yea, 7:30 pm EST is not good for me—usually afk. After 8 pm PST and sometimes during the early afternoon PST. I gave up trying to pm. Most of the time I get no response or “Who are you?” haha

Ok your west coast too. You’ll like grouping with Skychef.

I know how you feel when whispering 15-20 people and barely getting responces. But hang in there. I think you’ll find a good 3 or 4 people who you enjoy grouping with and end up doing regular runs with them. Maybe we can group up on weekends and get some of the others paths run.

Finished up my Arah armor set, probably around half of it with these folks. It’s been a pretty smooth ride, though I’m glad to be done with this ugly, buggy place. Thanks Obal and co. Managed to pick up some neat tricks to teach the rest of my guild.
