So me and my guildies are currently doing Arah path 4, stuck at the Dwayna fight. We get the boss to 50%, it dissapears, we get it back out at like 55%, really fast, we get her to 50% again in like 5 seconds and she disseapears again, rinse and repeat. She keeps dissapearing at 50%, any advice?

1/ be more efficient at spark runs

2/ if 1/ fails, bring more DPS (raw dps, not condy)

3/ if all else fails and you feel confident about your group handling it correctly, you hit a bug and will have to do the path again.

It’s either one of the three, pick one. Didn’t hit the bug myself, so I don’t really know if it exists, but if it does, nothing short of redoing it again and praying for not getting this bug would help. But it is also very likely that you were not damaging her fast enough, and thought that she healed at 50% when in fact she just triggered her timer (the first time she hits 50% she goes into stealth, but the next time she stealths, it’s on a timer, not because she’s at 50%, and if your DPS can only bring her to 50% health, you MIGHT think that she was hiding at 50% when in fact you were just too slow during the spark run/not hitting her hard enough)

Let’s just say that if a majority of your group was the type to wear soldier or knight gear, it might be very well possible that you didn’t bring enough damage and that you didn’t really have a lot of leeway for your spark runs. With a lack of dps you also really need someone who throws the tear to remove the petrification as quickly as possible to avoid a “down time” for your dps.

No, the bug is very real. My guild and I just encountered it, it goes as follows:

Get Simin to 50% health. She stealths and starts to heal.

Get sparks back in to place. We did this -very- quickly.

Simin comes back. Let us say she is at 52% health now.

Get Simin to 50% health in about 5 seconds. She stealths and starts to heal.

Repeat forever.

It does not matter how quickly you do sparks. She will always stealth at 50% and start to heal, regardless of how long is left in the minute or so she hsould be visible.

This happened to my group a few times prior to the patch, too. We found that it would usually happen if we failed to get her below 50% HP on the very first time, before she stealths at all. If we allowed her to stealth at all above 50%, there was a good chance that she would bug out and do this.

We had to reset her about 2-3 times in order for it not to be bugged, it’s just a matter of reseting all the time until its not bugged.

Probably bugged. Yes, you may have to reset a couple of times. I’ve run P4 around 5 times & did some counting, the key is to start herding sparks the moment Simin does her spinning animation before going into invisibility, bcos the 1 minute countdown to get her hp below 50% mark/30-35% mark/10% mark starts from then.

You probably got a bugged instance.

Many people will tell you to “bring more DPS”. Which is not needed at all. It helps, but it is in no way required to do it now that she recovers health so slowly.

You currently have three options:
- Try to reset the fight by leaving the combat and waiting until a while after she recovers 100% HP. This doesn’t seem to work always, and takes ages now that she recovers HP so slowly.
- Retry the entire dungeon until you get an instance that is not bugged.
- Wait. Either until the bug gets located ad fixed or until they completely remake that fight.

I’m currently waiting because everyone I know no longer does it, and at the times I play there’s not even people looking for parties in GW2LFG.

Just met up with the dreaded bug. Nothing like wasting 4 hours. Sparks were placed in 15-10 sec. Always stealthes at 50%. Hopefully they fix this!

Do not do this path!

My guild and I managed to reset this bug last night just by leaving combat and re-entering after about 10minutes of an AFK break. We did the fight with 4 people, Elementalist, Guardian, Mesmer, Necromancer. We had to make sure time warp was up and beat down a lot when she hit that 50% mark and it triggered the fight to what I think was normal, but this was our first time in there so all we had to go on was videos from other people.
