Arah too much? My take at this point.
Oh boy… I was afraid of that. ; ;
I hope to hear someone HAS completed a path so I can look at it as our tactics were off and just need to be adjusted.
lawl, pugs. why not talk to each other and make a game plan before just facerolling into kitten?
update i was refering to the 3rd boss on Arah path 2. the abomination thing is easy still but GL (Gigantus something). Also we used the range stack technique and the melee reflect technique.
@fony remember this was done as pug and as guild with TS using known working techniques aside from running mob sections where it was not necessary to truely test the update.

Glad you changed that boss listing…was a bit weirded out there for a moment. GL is the hardest boss in the game. I for one would be really upset if he were changed since he is very doable, just requires alot more skill then the tipacle new player has.
Just finished Path 2 & 3 of Arah 30 minutes ago, both PUGs. It was quite the pleasant experience, playing with experienced and inexperienced players.
Path 2 was easier on lupi since we were running with experienced players, only resetting once due to accidental loss of aggro.
Path 3 was a little harder only due to the fact we had 2 beginners who didn’t bring a ranged weapon. Lupi reset four times that run, three of them during phase 3, and one done intentionally to reset grub count.
The main tactic we used to kill him both runs was simple: Hit and run, pull him away from downed players. If we couldn’t get them up in time, we’d pull lupi away from the dead body and leave one or two people behind to res. Knowing who could pull lupi away was important, since we’d rely on them to kite while we res’d. Finished the runs pretty smoothly, considering it was a PUG.
tl:dr Lupi is doable with PUGs, plan ahead instead of banging your heads against a wall.

Sometimes I feel we’re either playing different games, or Anet is introducing disguised staff as regular players in forums.

Lupi really isn’t as hard as people make it out to be. The biggest struggle with fighting Lupi in my opinion, is getting new people to learn his very predictable patterns.
Ever since level one, all the game shows you is that zerging a boss will eventually kill it.
Put Lupi into the picture, and the game changes completely. The recent WP change will just force people to realize that mindlessly running at a boss comes with heavy penalties.
Honestly, I wish all final dungeon bosses were as well thought out as lupi. If any dungeon outside of COE and Arah had well thought out and challenging bosses instead of Ghost Eaters and Fire Effigies, the community would be more open to a challenge, rather than turning tail at the hint of opposition.
Think what you will, but this is a sign of good things to come.
