We used to have a 10-20 % chance to get ascended weapons or armor in the daily mid and high level chests. Is it nerfed now? If it is nerfed there is no reason to do fraktals anymore.

Probably been nerfed since you get a lot more chest. They at least divided the odds by 3 just to keep it at the same level than before the patch. Maybe they divided by less to improve the odds, or maybe they divided it by a bit more since we got 12 chest if you do the tier 4. I guess that KINGS will start to put data on their spreadsheet, we’ll have a better idea in a couple of weeks. I didn’t got any ascended last daily, but my friends got some.

It’s just too soon to judge.

To early to say, but it is enough to make me want to fotm again ( coupled with yay, different fractals to do besides swamps)

Got 1 yesterday night and another the night before. Of course sample size is like 2 days so like I wouldn’t be taking averages just yet lol.

Boxes spreading all around atm. We had boxes in every new group I was playing with. Yesterday 1 box for a Pug-player, today 1 for a guild mate, 1 for a Pug.
Even if you are unlucky, the rewards are very very very very very generous!

It seems likely that the chance is lower per box than before, but you also get more boxes to open and get ascended crafting mats, which can be seen as a fraction of an ascended box as well.

You also get ascended accessories and salvage kits, which – assuming accessories drop like candy just like the rings – means that you can get a decent number of balls of dark energy over time just from fotm dailies.

The value of the fotm daily chests has definitely increased.

Perhaps, if you’re running t4 consistently. For a majority of fractal players it was a nerf.

And the so called nerf was justified because the rewards were imbalanced. Now it makes more sense. Don’t forget that less skilled players can include dungeon runs (story + explo) due to reward buffs there.
Personally, I don’t see a nerf. Fractals around lvl 50 are half-way to the top. Comparing to the older system it was around lvl 25 when 50 was max level. The rewards there were very bad back in these days.
At the moment it feels way more rewarding than ever. The change was perfect.

Hah I wish, all I got besides the guaranteed rewards is an ecto and a merchant express (which I have enough of anyway)

But yeah, the guaranteed rewards aren’t bad either.

You also get ascended mat now… in 3 fractals t4 I got 2 elonian squares and 1 bold of damask… gives a lot of money.

Why is this even a question; if you can do the highest tier you get more dailies done in less time, so why would you run them one by one? The rewards from the boss chest at the end of the fractal aren’t exactly overwhelming, it’s all about those wobbly chests. :P

There’s no point in doing two lowest tiers at all (except for the two that are on daily, or for the purpose of raising personal reward level). You should go immediately for t4 (if you can) or t3 (if you can’t do t4 yet).
