I guess there already is countless amount of posts about ascended rings but i would really appreciate if someone from AN could tell us if we’ll ever get an option to trade/salvage those rings. I already have 300+ asc rings stored on my alts and to be honest I get mad every time i get a new one

No one knows. I just sell them.

I just keep infused rings and sell non infused. You will save some space that way. But really anet wed like an answer.

Here’s a +1 for the dedication!

Ever since the change that made ascended items account bound on acquire as opposed to soulbound on use, I’ve only kept a copy of an un-infused ring and an infused ring each. (Although each ring is unique and you can’t equip two rings of the same name, you can by-pass this restriction if one of them is infused and the other is not)

The rest I just vendor them.

Yeah the ring problem is my biggest peeve with fractal loot.

Same. Around 430 rings now. Some definite word would be nice but then again, I tend to not throw away anything so even if they said something, I’ll probably still continue to hold on to them until there’s something useful that could be done with them.

Unfortunatly, since this is the dungeon/fractals subforum, I fear none of the dev’s will even read the title, so… desperate times call for desperate measures:

tl;dr: can we plz have a statement wether or not it will be able to do something else with ascended rings then either use them, store them or sell/destroy them? No need to get in detail yet (salvage them, put them in the forge to get a random piece of asc. accessory, etc.), just a simple, yes, we’re working on something or no, nothing to do with them but use/store/sell/destroy.

having a Fractal personal level of 50 for over a year, and still only ever getting rings, is infuriating. i cant remember the last time i got a skin, the blue moons where i get a chest seem farther and farther apart, the Tonic is literally a joke. like precursor level. i find myself sympathizing with that Green Lantern…

This is for weapon and armor currently – weapons use the same recipe as armor to stat change except they use inscriptions to allow you to change instead of insignias.

(Above is about changing ascended items to have different stats)

Someone on reddit also said it does not apply to trinkets like rings. In December 2013, Anet said they would allow us salvage Ascended Rings. In 2014, they said they could not follow through with their original plans because their systems have change. In 2015, they have been silent (as far as I know).

I stopped doing Fractals for like 8 months because I had too many ascended rings. I have about 80+ now.

I feel your pain.. I just counted 650+ Ascended rings… Running out of space on my storage chars.. I hope they let us convert them to Amulets/earrings or something.. that’d be great.

I think it’s an ironic attempt on an educated guess.
If it shall become reality though, I would be a) not surprised at all b) disapointed as hell c) angry that they didn’t come up with that “solution” at least 1 year ago….

I think he’s joking, you know, since we have zillions of dust already and it’s worth LESS than 5 silver.

Im sure we will get this option with the mystic forge (like armor and weapons now) when we can craft higher tier jewelrey (crystalline orbs, etc) once jewel crafting is expanded to 500.

until then, just keep the good ones.
