I’m putting this in the dungeon/fractal category because it seems to be an important component of the fractals and the fractal backpack.

Anyway, can we please have less of an RNG dependency when salvaging certain ascended items? I bought 3 ascended amulets for 20 laurels each in WvW and an ascended accessory for guild commendations. All I got was a couple of +1 agony infusions, which don’t even cover the cost of the salvage kits.

I get that maybe you don’t want people who hoarded laurels or commendations to have all the dark energy they could want, but could it maybe at least drop fragments of dark energy that can be combined once you have enough? As it is, I just wasted over a month’s worth of laurels (and a bunch of gold and guild commendations) with absolutely nothing to show for it.

This isn’t a good system.

Im also a bit worried bout this rng n how much of the mats we might need for legendary items. I salvaged 30+ rings and got nothing dark energy (or w/e its called)

dark energy balls arent supposed to drop from rings, however I salvaged 8 amulets and only agony infusions which are worthless atm, such a waste of laurels ;(

I don’t think the intention was for you to spend your Laurels and salvage those items. That’s an incredibly expensive way to go about it.

The point was that you get lots of free rings/amulets doing Fractals and you should be salvaging those if you are working on the Legendary.

The rings explicitly don’t drop dark energy (you can see in the ascended salvage kit description). However, the others should at least give a fraction of a dark energy ball, otherwise there’s a good chance you wasted 20+ laurels or commendations for absolutely nothing.

You don’t get amulets from fractals. Only rings and armor/weapons, although I do not know if you can still get armor/weapons after the recent changes.
