Ascended gear
Its not too easy to delete ascended. It asks you to confirm. Its kind of your own fault if you disregard that. Feels bad when you make a stupid mistake like that but its not the end of the world and it hardly needs addressing on a global scale.
Support may or may not help you. I deleted a backpack skin i had before wardrobe got implimented. I contacted support and they gave me the item back. Although they said they wouldnt normally do this and I shouldnt expect them to do it in the future.
That type the name in to delete is incredibly frustrating. So no thanks to that suggestion.

I got my item back, and they told me too that they might not be able to perform that service again the next time.
Generally I agree with you, it is annoying to have to type the name to delete an item, but that is because the systems is used on items that does not matter, I mean how often do you really delete ascended gear? Normally I would sell it rather than delete it.
I do not know how big a problem this is either, I have only experienced it this one time, but I just thought it might help a few people ( maybe me one day :p ). And it is not like it is a new feature, it just needs to be added to ascended gear, where it could actually be useful :p
I just had this same thing happen using the new Agony Resist extractors. It’s a drag and drop process followed by a confirmation of the extraction. I was doing multiple gear extractions and just missed the UI when i tried to do my Ascended hammer. I put in a ticket in game describing the process and how they should definitely update it to putting in the title of the gear when you try to delete it at least. I mean who deletes ascended items anyway. Hope I have your luck and they send it back to me. My Revenant is kitten without it.
Well, no luck for me. Got an email back and they said they couldn’t verify the item loss. Guess I won’t be playing my Revenant for a while. Hopefully they look into the UI for deleting Ascended gear and change it to something other than a one click process.
Yeah, THAT sucks… Not getting it back.
Even if it is a small item it sucks to lose an item you worked for.
And I hope they will look in to this, but it doesn’t seem like many people care about it, when you look at how many have seen this thread and how many have commented.
