Well we are going to get ascended weapons and eventually armor, so what will become of the exotic gear you can earn in dungeons? Upgrades? Completely new weapons and gear or nothing at all? Will we be running dungeons just get some kind of deranged satisfaction? You people know who you are and it takes one to know one.

Will they pull a fractal and give us one super shiny once a day token because of time gating?

I’d be ok with forking over more tokens for better gear because I’m too lazy to craft honestly.

What ever the case when running a dungeon I always have a gear goal in mind but why do all that for shoddy exotics when you can have shiny ascended instead?

I hope that the new ascended weapons would be somehow linked to dungeon tokens, cus I have too many of them :p

I always find ways to spend all of my tokens I get but I know what you mean. Sometimes I’ll have enough to fully equip an alt so i figure it’s time to go shopping.

Gold will be the new green, and orange will be the new gold no matter how you look at it.

Also Green should stop prompting me with a confirmation when I want to salvage it, you aren’t that important Green get over it.

I remember hearing about how items in the game can’t have more than one equipment slot, so ascended gear won’t have customize-able stats beyond +5 from infusions. Exotics will still be able to take orbs and runes from whatever, so ascended gear won’t totally be superior to an exotic set.

They might make tokens necessary for crafting ascended gear, too. Tokens are already psuedo-time gated.

Unless the new ascended gear has compellingly beautiful skins, I’d prefer we simply upgrade our current exotic gear. This way, I get to keep my preferred look and I don’t have to buy more transmutation crystals at 17gems/gold.
