What do you do with these after you finish Ad Infinitum? You get them all the time from salvaging ascended, but they don’t appear to be used for anything else.

Aren’t they used in crafting ascended items…? Could be confusing it with something else.

You get them from salvaging ascend items, not used for making them. I think you’re thinking of dark matter.

You also need balls of dark energy for the new legendary weapons.

I’ve had a few drop since they added accessories to the drop tables

I think you only need one of them and the collections already take weeks go do (Astralaria is kicking my kitten ). Even if you made Ad Infinitum and all 4 HoT legendaries you’d only ever need 5 of them.

You need 3 in total for Ad Infinitum… 2 in the start and 1 extra at the end.

You will need 6 per legendary armor set

Eventually you start getting extra account bound Ascended that you don’t have the inventory space for (usually because you are having bad luck and getting tons of Ascended headgear boxes when you need shoulders or something similar, rather than because everyone is fully geared). Since all Ascended are account bound, your options are salvage or trash if you don’t need them.

How about an NPC that trades balls of dark energy for a Chest of Ascended Crafting Materials?
