is the Belka ball Buggy ? sometimes it comes down at a other place then the circle

or maybe im just to blind

Just like other projectiles aoe in the game, the red circle gives you an approximation of where the aoe should hit. But since it’s also a seeking projectile, it’ll change its way to hit you. Watch the projectile and not the Aoe, and dodge when it comes near you.

What oxtred said, it seems to be able to move towards your location. It’s frustrating at first but then you get use to it and it’s not bad. Had me raging a bit at first though.

There’s an easy trick to avoid Belka’s Big Blue Ball of Bullkitten:

The ball seems to track your direction/speed at the moment the AoE appears. Simply change direction once the AoE appears and you’ll be fine.

Doesn’t work so well in a group (can be hard to know who’s targeted if the party is clustered), and it’s still a good idea to dodge when it’s about to land no matter where you are. I’ve been downed by it when the ball landed at least 900 units away. But changing directions usually keeps you safe.

Just learn to time a dodge as it hits the ground.

I used this video and trick to get my solo, not sure if there is a better way but it worked well enough on my war and guard.

If you’re on a guard, then there’s a really cheap way to get past Belka….

prepares for assault

Use a staff. ducks You can hide behind the masts/poles/whatever they are laying around her arena and autoattack her through them. You can hit her at most of her anchor points this way and not have to worry about resetting her, or just use it as a place to back off and heal up as needed.

Don’t range, it destroys the point of soloing and Belka reflects projectiles 20% of the time.

I was so desperate i use a meditation mace build at the end and failt when i had her at 30% after a eternity

And she spams balls at you if you’re at farther range than her cone attack.

There’s also the old trick to reset her. Run back out past the bone wall to the south, pop a cond cleanse, and you’ll get ooc, heal up, and she’ll stay pinned to the starting point without resetting her health. Just don’t stay ooc for more than the time it takes to heal or she will fully reset.

Still gotta watch for balls, but this is the laziest way to solo her. But watch out, they’ll probably fix it in a few years.
