Better loot: dungeons vs fractrals
For time invested, I would say dungeons. But I get horrible drops in fractals, even more so after the update.
One my guildies swears that fractals drops are awesome now.
RNG… a fantastic idea.
in my somewhat limited experience.
for time invested. regular dungeons are more bang for your buck, IF you are running with a semi intelligent group, which is not terribly hard. (path set up being something like AC 1, 3 TA up, SE, 1,3, Honor 1 CoF 1,2) of which you can do in less than an hour.
however, again in my experience, the quality of drops in fractals is a bit better for me, I get more rares and exos out of fractals then regular runs. garbage stats 90 percent of the time, but wont complain about the ecto pulls.
if you want to make just a flat rate of fast gold. regular dungeons are more or less the way to go.
Dungeons are better loot in general. Going to arah with a smaller group to do “legit” runs then selling the extra spots would be the best loot.
I have seen people selling fractals recently
Fractals have too much loot you can’t sell. Dungeon’s raw gold output with time invested is clearly superior.
For anyone interested solely in Rewards vs. Time for the Effort, there really is no reason to do Fractals over dungeons. After a 49, I come out with about 2g, which is about what you’d get for running one dungeon path.

I’m surprised there’s even a topic on it, I thought it was obvious.
Hands down, dungeons.
Am I legendary yet!?
Pff obviously the queensdale farm train.
Stop doing fractals. It’s like playing the slot machines.

Took 3-4 months between my first and second weapon chests to drop – at least 3 dailies per day. Occams and Zoijas fractals are too RNG-heavy to come close to dungeon loot output.
