Bjarl bugged? (COE path 1)
Were we in the same group? Yeah, he was walking straight through pillars and wasn’t acting as he usually does. Also had a mesmer with us who was unable to strip off his stability. Had to quit the dungeon.
We have this problem right now. It might take hours to kill him at this rate.

Yup, I’m getting extremely annoyed by constantly finding these bugs in dungeons when it’s patch day. Especially with no compensation for running a dungeon and wasting my time.
Just ran path 1 up to Bjarl, he would charge and not get knocked down.

Ended up encountering this problem just now.
Our Mesmers were able to glitch through the door, though, allowing us to skip ahead to Alpha and get our tokens. Thank goodness.

Since I got some tells about this, I’ll elaborate (though I risk some infraction/ban for “exploiting” past bugs):
There’s a door between the Bjarl room and the room where you fight Alpha for the last time. If your Mesmer stands back on the stairs before that door, they can see through the gap underneath the door, and use that to target their Blink skill. The reticle won’t go straight to the other side due to LoS issues, but you can get it mostly “inside” the door.
You’ll teleport, either into the door itself, or to the other side. If you get stuck inside and don’t get trapped in a “falling” animation, you can use Blink or Phase Retreat to try and get through. If you get through all the way, you can use Portal to get your team across. Just don’t die/wipe on Alpha.
That’s a joke if you get banned because they kittened up the boss in the first place. Per usual.
Happened to my static group… We were 2 runs short of finishing that dungeon once and for all. Too bad we did not have a mesmer :[

Just happened to my group 5 mins ago. Sent in a Bug Report.
He charges the pillar, then turns around and keeps going. Tried for 15 mins or so, and he never once fell over properly.

Fighting 1 boss who isnt even the end boss because of a bug of him not falling down. You sir and your group better get 3 exotic pieces of gear.
I just left a dungeon run because of this… so disappointing. No idea what’s going on with Anet QA. Willing to bet this was their attempt at making that fight more difficult.

Man this patch was nothing but kitten.
Happened to me twice today. First time we killed him using mostly bleeds and burning, the next time we wern’t able to get his health bar to drop AT ALL. We sat there pounding him for 30 minutes without even a dent in his health bar. Thanks Anet!
Seems to be working as intended. Was a great fight took about 20 minutes to get him to 90%. 20minutes per 10% = 3 hours and 20 minutes for the fight. That’s a guaranteed way to avoid DR. We thought of an alternative as well. If the entire group specs heavy into condition damage and switches to rampagers gear the fight can easily be done in under two hours. Overall, an epic experience.

we did pretty much this, stupidly hard but with enough stubborn people we finished it. But yeah, don’t do CoE submarine path for a while.
Bugged just plain ol bugged. AFK stacking bleeds on it as we speak.
Bjarl used to bug before if he ran through the door toward the final alpha fight. I had heard that it was possible to bug him by attacking too much while he had scales up as well but never confirmed it for myself.
Today I had a shortbow ranger and a longbow warrior unload on him and he bugged. I’ve also heard reports of him bugging from many people recently.
Stacking conditions on him as we speak. Bugged after patch today, yesterday he was fine.
I believe it took us roughly 35 minutes to do it, with most of the group switching characters midfight for more condition damage.
Bugged for sure. Killable, yes. I guess I would consider it “easy” (in the long-but-not-at-all-threatening sense), since I held aggro and just basically played matador stepping aside whenever he would charge. Boring though. Please fix.

I’m working on my CoE set, and only need a few more pieces. Not being able to do 3 paths each day puts a huge dent in things.
Still bugged as of now. Just found out AFTER we realized he doesn’t collide with pillars.
Waste of time.

It would be very useful if you can mark encounters with known issues above certain frequency in the dungeon path selection interface, so that they can be avoided by most of the people and selected only deliberately by people who would take their chances.
A simple red dot similar to the ones just introduced in the top-strip icons would do.
Or just remove him for now, and just have a chest if they drop one, or a way to skip a broken event.

I am completely in favor of this. Instead of just leaving it, and saying you’ll eventually address it, because that in effect only cuts us off from content that we wish to explore.

Thank you for this as well. I really hope you don’t get in trouble for giving people a way to work around an unexpected bug that’s 90% of the way into a dungeon run.

we had a prety stubborn group and took around half an hour to take him down. luckily, he bugged into doing the running man in the same spot for half the fight and most of us were just wailing on him with conditions. i did as much as i could with a Guardian.
most people were AFk for the majority of the fight.

It’s a little ridiculous to expect everyone wanting to run a dungeon to check the forums just to make sure that a single boss isn’t somehow bugged out, and blocks progress of the entire path because of it, so that they don’t waste their time doing the dungeon.

They said in the other thread that it would be fixed in the next patch. Now we just have to know when exactly is the next patch. Hope we don’t have to wait until Wintersday update … It would suck a lot. But, as we got no update this week, I guess it’s very likely
