Congrats on soloing one of the easiest bosses in the game?

Sure its lv48, but still this boss is kind of a face-roll, as long as you don’t mess up and get hit by his agony it should go pretty smoothly no matter what, and being a guardian just makes this boss even easier to solo.

Maybe it’s because I am a new player. But I appreciate guides on how to get through bosses

The point is that you don’t melee it.

No, the point was that he complained about obal previous group melee video being only at lvl 48 (not to mention the serious business talk about banners) and that there might be more circles at higher level and the same aoe circle drawing issue as lupicus.

- Bloomhunger is really annoying to melee. There’s good chance that some circles won’t even appear (at least if everyone melees).
- Just like with Lupicus, too many circles and game engine just stops drawing them.[…]I don’t recall having this issue on lower levels.

So yes, their (obal’s) group having done it at 80 is good entertainment as a follow up to the previous threads.

Have you even watched that video? In description Obal says "If you stand in front of Bloomhunger the red agony circles don’t appear on screen and you die. This may be a bug or be intentional. "
That’s exactly the issue I was talking about. I’m still not entirely convinced about his explanation but I don’t have any evidence against it. Showing that you don’t get hit isn’t concrete proof that you never get hit. Something else might be causing it (like movement which doesn’t happen if all stay behind him) which doesn’t show up because of too early conclusions. Now I don’t know how thoroughly Obal has tested it but one video at 48 or 80 isn’t really a proof. Neither is saying “trust me”.

But what I really don’t understand how you can get entertainment out of this. Is this supposed to be some kind of competition?

According to my tests with Bottle and Archdiviner (I had only access to 48 so something weird may actually happen), it’s (1 + 0.01875*80)/(1 + 0.01875*48) = 132% health compared to level 48.
Level 0: X
Level 1: X + 2.5% * X
Level 2: X + 2 * 2.5% * X
Level 3: X + (2 * 2.5% + 1.25%) * X
Level 4: X + (2 * 2.5% + 2 * 1.25%) * X
Level 5: X + (3 * 2.5% + 2 * 1.25%) * X
Level 6: X + (4 * 2.5% + 2 * 1.25%) * X
And so on. Averaging +1.875%*X per level.

No idea if armor changes.

If by interested party you mean me I don’t know why I should prefer silence. I melee him on 79 without guardians and mesmers trivalizing whole fight to dodging occasional red circles.

Saying that fight is annoying doesn’t mean you don’t do that. For instance, archdiviner in phase 2 is annoying to melee but I don’t range him.

Bring popcorn if you must, I just don’t know why would you.

I can’t find anyone soloing anything 40+ and I figured I could solo bloomy. I guess I made it look a lot easier than it was . One AoE hit or Entangle and I was dead.

We were just testing it out too as we tried to scrape together a group with the few members on at the time. We weren’t optimal and didn’t bother to prep for a speedy kill from what we had since it wasn’t the point. We were testing the tactic of staying behind it given the back and forth. This tactic was told to me by more experienced members of the guild when I started and I never ran in to the problem that we showed on the video.

Some arguments, criticisms, and general nastiness went on but we got past that. I already made a half troll of a post of the bloomhunger speed kill and I didn’t mean for this one to be one as well. I just never saw anyone bother with 40+ solos and I figured I would get things started.

He’s pretty easy at any scale if you learn the animations.

Mossman and Archdiviner have much harder melee attacks to defend against, but with enough guardians you can melee them.

Pretty good video as you do occassionally get hit by agony and there was no circle and it’s just “whyyyy did that happen”.

Pretty similar to the lupicus circles where you can be outside a circle and you still take a hit for some reason.

I hope we get more stuff like Molten Facility though.

Oh no my 3-5 minutes on video game forums equate to hours spent soloing things..?
In-fact no. It’s pretty cool that you show people who claim that full zerker is bad that it is indeed not, and that not only is it not bad but it can solo content that the same peoples full pvt guard groups struggle with (while placing blame on dps spec’d people), or something to that effect.
However, the making of the video is terribly transparent. I only applauded my guild mate, does my comment somehow offend you?

I’m quite sure you have spent more than 3-5 minutes at forums during your life-time. Then add time “wasted” on playing video-games.
My solo took about 10 attempts. About half ended in 1 minute while others lasted maybe 5 minute at average. That’s less than 1 hour. And during that I actually learned it’s mechanics so I don’t have fill this forum with misinformation.

As shown it is quite easy, no need for applauding.

From what leman said on the necro forums. I gathered he was running a hybrid necro. Decent direct damage and much better sustained aoe with conditions.
