Buff Non-COF Dungeon Rewards
ArenaNet, please make other dungeons more attractive to run relative to COF. In comparison to the rewards of COF farming, the rewards of other dungeons pale in comparison. The only dungeon that can approximate the rewards from an hour spent speed running COF will be COE and that is if the player gets lucky with lodestone drops and could manage the 3-in-1. Take CM for example, so few are willing to do CM because the effort-reward ratio is just so low compared to COF, COE, or even AC. If you want people to explore more of the content instead of just mindlessly grinding COF ( I mean for crying out loud you have people who go with Sigil of Smothering), then the rewards from other dungeons should be at par with COF speed running. Instead of nerfing COF P1 can we get more chests or 10s mobs from the longer dungeons? I’m pretty sure that people wouldn’t mind going full runs on CM, TA, and SE if they got around three more money and bag mobs and/or chests.
I agree with this, but unfortunately what is most likely to happen is this:
COF farm nerf- Now cannot be completed easily or in a timely manner worthy of farming.
Nothing else.

All dungeon rewards should be the same. The current problem is that CoF takes too little time to complete.
Personally think CoF takes too long too complete. The dungeons aren’t challenging, why make them drawn out for the sake of being drawn out?

Too long? With an average group of mixed classes, you’re looking at 10-12 minutes. With an optimized group of the “right” classes, it can drop to 6-7 minutes. For the cash gain (in particular, that dropped directly from bosses, which can be massively raised with the right buffs), it’s insane.
At the moment, there is no farming method that comes close to endlessly repeating the same path of the same dungeon.
I think the cash reward is fine, but COF1 needs to be made longer.
Time = Money
Take the average time it takes your play testers to finish a particular path and put a price on it per minute.
Adjust all the loot in all dungeon paths to reflect this.
Keep in mind this is an example and not what I think it should be but for the sake of showing my point:
2 silver per min
CoF Path one Average: 13 minutes
Cof Path one Gold: 26 silver
*keep in mind you could adjust the XP and Karma this way as well. I would leave the Dungeon tokens at 60 either way.

Only one chest per account per day per dungeon but rewards buff up with dedicated lodestone and 100% chance for at least 1 rare random item in it, tyvm…
Buff? What is this buff you speak of? I think I can speak on behalf of ANet when I say “Buff” is not in our vocabulary.
Now if you want a nerf, just let them know!
All you people who want to complain and have the game “fixed” are only asking for the game to be made worse. If there’s one thing you enjoy about this game then keep your mouth shut about it, and while you’re at it, keep your mouth shut about parts of the game you don’t like so the people who do like it can enjoy it without it being destroyed.

And the problem with this is that arenanet will make it either harder or longer and not increase the rewards, as opposed to increasing the rewards for the other dungeons.
I agree CoF needs to be adjusted. But look at AC. The changes they made were, arguably, good (minus the bugs). However, they increased the skill levels, difficulty, and time, without increasing rewards.
Face it, PvE sucks in ths game. The End.

Best post ever.
Or they could add something else than just cosmetic armor so people will want to do the others dungeons. No need to buff or nerf anything. Just improve the dungeon reward system.
They could add lodestone to the vendor or the sugesstion i did for Precursor
it will make people do others dungeon a lot more, people are doing COF for money making. A lot of them to buy precursor or lodestone.

No, PvE doesn’t suck in this game. Dungeons suck. They were tacked on without any significant polish for dungeon mongers and it’s obvious when you play them.
Here is why:
1) The rewards are crappy. I can’t use it, and I usually can’t sell it. I make more money working the Trading Post in 10-15min than I do spending (x) hours running a so called “profitable” dungeon. The token rewards have hit/miss stats and mediocre to hideous skins. Not to mention you have to GRIND and insane amount to get the tokens for said sets.
2) The experience (assuming you’re leveling) is crappy, you can get 1-2 levels by completing a map in the time it takes to complete 1 dungeon. In comparison you’ll only get a 1/4 (or 1/3 if you’re lucky) in dungeon.
3) They take too long with your average PuG, & most people I run into want nothing to do with them. Which is why you end up having to resort to a PuG. Most of the people I have run with don’t know what they’re doing and even if you try to tell them they don’t listen. These dungeons are really hard if people don’t pay attention. You can’t steam roll them like the ones in WoW. I don’t care how fast people say you can run them in I haven’t seen a dungeon take 30min-1hr yet. Unless you’ve got a group of veterans in your team it isn’t going to happen. I don’t care that they’re hard, that’s fine, but hard + crappy rewards, wtf mate.
These elements of GW2 PvE area awesome:
Reactive gameplay, open questing, open & dynamic events system, jumping puzzles, guild missions (can’t wait to unlock Rush & Puzzles), map level-down system, dailies that aren’t grindy, individual instanced gathering, and experience galore from everything you do to name a handful.

If your complaint is that there’s something wrong with CoF, doesn’t it make sense to fix CoF, rather than all the others?
