Anyone who runs HotW notice that the caster boss (cant remember the name), the 2nd to last one in the butcher path, been updated?

Before, this boss used to be one of the braindead bosses where you could mostly stand and spam DPS…

Only difference now is the adds that spawn with him that need to be kited around (no point killing them, as they get replaced the moment they die)

I love it now =). The fight went from easy and boring (due to his massive HP pool) to now challenging and fun. They added the adds, but reduced the HP of the boss

Sounds like fun! I can’t wait to do it :-D I’ve only cleared story modes up to CoF :-/

I found to be more effective to kill ads asap and hit the boss when alone.

Is there a delay when they respawn again?

We tried killing them, but they would just come back

When did it get changed? Did him before maintance and he was still easy and boring.

Only noticed this last night when I last ran it

Someone said this to me as well, but when we ran it last night he still was the same old alt-tab fight. If it happens sometimes it must be how it works I can’t really see a bug like that. Hopefully the bug is that sometimes he doesn’t spawn adds.

I hope to fight him with the adds next time

Sometimes the adds spawn and sometimes there’s no adds at all, it’s very random.

I did the fight well over 50 times (got full set of power vit toughness armor and greatsword). It never happened to me so far.

Tried it right now, he is even worse than before. The adds can simply kill a full party in 3-4 secs without any chance of movement, since their red circles are too big, and we have 5-6 silver adds to fight once, with constant respawn. At least make these normal adds with less hp, that would be fine.

Also I think its a bug or something, since they like to randomly spawn/respawn even when we arent harming them in any way.

Just did the boss again, no adds spawned, just the usual boring 5min auto attack and sleep fight.
