I wouldn’t expect an answer on that. ArenaNet often gets confused about whether or not they mean to do things.
Maybe after we hear about the Lupi autoattack (any day now!) they’ll address this? Yeah. For sure.

Still would like to understand the reason behind the change as nothing was mentioned in the patch notes.
Stability is quite useful for the hammer specially when you are trying to hit the seal when you are close to 30 corruption stacks. (Negates the stun)
It also helps running the hammer up the ramps which have the air pockets that can send you falling to your death with the hammer, forcing your party to suicide in order to respawn the hammer.

Believe me, I know the feeling. But ArenaNet doesn’t value communication with their players. They avoid telling us anything at all costs — even if it’s something that should have been in the patch notes.
To share from my experiences: If you really want any chance (like 0.0001% chance of response rather than 0), make a post in the bug subforum, not here. Devs avoid this subforum like the plague.
But over in the bug subforum, Lauren the QA lead will actually read your post and pass it on to the rest of the team, even if they’re ignoring her, too.
Weird, I used skill #3 yesterday night to run through the air pockets and it worked. I noticed however that I got a single stack of stability every second.

That would be weird, seeing as the #3 skill is for the stun you get at 30 stacks.
Well i used #3 skill today and didnt get interrupted by the stun. Didnt check if i had stab ticking or not. Just know it was still working. So display bug? Or OP just blind?
Blind, I did a 40 today and I was ticking stab at the same interval, rest of my party was ticking stab as well.
Stab is still pulsing for that skill though

Sounds like a bugged stealth nerf. Now why does that sound familiar?
The hammer’s #3 skill now pulses 1 stack of Stability (lasts for 1s) every second.
There was no nerf, more of a change due to how Stability works.

Good to know, I guess I had the luck of not getting cliffside as often. I also don’t believe it was pulsing earlier, I think it was giving direct 4-5 stacks but I guess I could be wrong.
